A Magical Stay at The Ginger Duck – Omeo’s Hidden Gem! We recently stayed at The Ginger Duck in Omeo, Victoria, and it was an unforgettable experience. The place is nothing short of magical. The house itself was beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the most special moments of our trip was witnessing a stunning starry night right from the property. We saw shooting stars and Milky Way. The skies were so clear and full of stars, it felt like something out of a dream. The surrounding scenery was equally breathtaking—peaceful, scenic, and just what we needed to disconnect and unwind. If you’re looking for a serene retreat surrounded by nature with a touch of charm and comfort, The Ginger Duck is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay and Scott is a great host, always responsive and helpful. Short drive to town and easy location.

Elbert was absolutely beautiful and the house was so modern and clean. Kate provided very lovely welcome touches - soft toys for the kids, yummy snacks, a lovely welcome letter. The house location was 2nd to none, everything was neat and clean. The back sitting room on the lake was such a lovely place to sit, relax with a cuppa, read a book and enjoy the peaceful lake views. The outdoor fire pit was organised and laid out, ready for us to use. I would def recommend Kate's Elbert to anyone thinking of visiting the area. You won't find a better place to relax

we stayed at david's during a trip to the snows - such a lovely place with beautiful views. had everything we needed including an indoor and outdoor fireplace. david was also very responsive and helpful with my questions

Thank you, Ken and Judy for allowing us to enjoy the beauty and solitude of the cottage at The Outpost. To arrive to the display of autumn colours in the afternoon sun was an unexpected surprise. The cottage was perfect (nothing nicer than to be welcomed by a hearty fire and a bottle of red). It certainly exceeded our expectations - and the extra touches, (such as electric blankets and the heated bathroom floor,) were much appreciated. We loved the walks on the property and along the fishing beat on the Murrumbidgee. Mike and Rose kept a low profile, but were there to answer any questions. Our few days were way too short for us and we are already looking at dates for a return visit in the warmer months so we can say hi to the resident platypus and maybe land a trout. Gail and Ken’s place is a little oasis of tranquility in beautiful nature. The photos don’t even do it justice - it’s even prettier than that. The house is spacious for a family of five, spotless, has everything you could need and can be heated well and to more than what you probably need even in winter as it is well insulated. Gail and Ken are very friendly and helpful, and provided lots of useful info material for our stay. Our kids enjoyed roaming around the river and spotting a platypus several times. We are looking forward to coming back!

We had an amazing time! Lise paid such great attention to detail with everything on the property. The home was very clean and had the listed amenities. The view was spectacular, especially with the surrounding hills. We loved the canoeing experience on the property and meeting the farm animals and wildlife. Overall, the owners were very friendly and accommodating and I can't recommend this property enough!
