Delightful one bedroom log cabin

Get away from it all when you stay in a very special, cozy log cabin in a beautiful nature setting right beside the rail trail and lots of beautiful rivers and lakes near by. This unique cabin has a sink with running water, a fridge, micro wave and a coffee bar with a coffee machine where you can enjoy your morning coffee sitting on a barstool. A very comfortable couch is pulled out into a double bed. There is a picnic table on the porch. This cabin comes with its own outhouse for your safety.

Our Grandpa Max built this eclectic space onto the back of his heritage home in the 1970s as an art studio and woodworking shop. Now we host travelers in this mid-century meets modern Scandi suite. The downtown core is only one block away but the studio is located on a quiet residential street backing on to green-space. Grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants, park with a lookout and the theatre are all within blocks. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and ski bums!

A Peaceful and Private Studio Suite

A beautiful suite nestled in nature. It is located just outside of Balfour with access to the ferry landing, balfour store, a gas station and bakery. Ainsworth Hotsprings is a short 15 min drive, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is 10 minutes away and Balfour Golf Course is even closer! Nelson and all its amenities is about a 25 minute jaunt. 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter weather as the last little stretch is a little steeper. Winter weather can be unpredictable.

Our guest suite has a modern rustic feel & can accommodate 3 guests. There is an ensuite bathroom & a separate room with a microwave, hotplate, breakfast sandwich maker, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker and a tea kettle. There are plates, bowls, cutlery, etc and a rustic wine barrel dining table. The cupboards are stocked with local tea and coffee, with cream in the fridge and snack. There is a bbq for guests use also
