Our property is a quiet, spacious whole-floor property with a lift, located in the heart of Kyoto, in the sought-after Kawaramachi area❤️ We recommend that it can comfortably accommodate between 4 and 10 people! We finalised the following details for our room in March 2026. From now on, the experience will be even better than before! We have carefully selected distinctive Japanese materials, The main wall behind the living room TV is covered in a stylish, high-end woven-pattern wallpaper. This is Japan’s largest and world-renowned woollen fabric production area, and the overall space exudes a warm and cosy homey atmosphere. For this special toilet renovation, we used herringbone-patterned woven tiles, crafted with the exquisite, centuries-old Gifu Prefecture tile-making technique. These tiles create a dynamic three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play upon them. Mino-yaki ceramics have a history spanning approximately 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these tiles for over a century, making them among the most technically challenging tiles to manufacture. We’ve also carefully upgraded the Dyson hairdryer, as well as the Dyson bladeless fan, a kettle from a Japanese design brand, a brand-new Daikin air conditioner (heating and cooling) in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is supplied by Asahi Wood, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality, costing three times more than Chinese products. We also take great care in choosing the bedding. We are delighted to announce that a new Japanese-style tatami room, where you can experience Japanese tatami culture, has now been added to our building.Previously, out of the dozen or so rooms in the entire building, only one D2 four-person room was a Japanese-style room, so many guests wanted to stay in a Japanese tatami room.In January 2026, we completed the upgrade to a new shared room C2. Currently, there are only two shared rooms in the entire building, so if you want to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese-style room, these are a good choice! Welcome to our convenient and quiet accommodation in Kyoto, where you can enjoy your trip to Kyoto with ease and relaxation. It took us two years to find this building, which is in a good location, in a quiet area, and has a lift, and then another year of earnest negotiations with the owner before we finally had the opportunity to purchase and operate it.Most of the residents in the building are Japanese, which allows guests to experience Japanese daily life more authentically. We have put a lot of care into designing the dozen or so rooms in the entire building in different styles. Many of the themes in each room have been handcrafted and painted by us, and it takes around a month or more on average to add a new room. To date, we have accumulated over 3,000 five-star reviews across our three Airbnb accounts.The bedding has also been carefully selected, and many guests have mentioned in their reviews that the beds are very comfortable.We personally clean all the rooms, hoping that every guest visiting Kyoto will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
