Welcome to the Earth-friendly Eco Village Earth People's Village! Ben, a host who has spent 25 years living between Japan and Australia and travelling the world, moved to Ajimu-cho, Usa City, Oita Prefecture, an area dotted with numerous power spots, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He renovated a precious traditional kominka house dating back 145 years to the Meiji era to create this accommodation. Situated on high ground, guests can enjoy a multi-sensory experience, including breakfast with views of the beautiful rural landscape below and, on clear days, Yufudake, as well as barbecuing, yoga, meditation, a sauna, and stand-up paddleboarding at the spectacular waterfall nearby. At our very own farm right in front of the property (currently under preparation), we grow vegetables using entirely organic methods, and if you wish, we can also take you on nature and farming experiences on the 3,300 m² hillside behind the property, such as bamboo shoot picking and wild vegetable gathering. Anshin-in-cho is famous for its grapes, and grape picking is extremely popular. The Anshin-in Vineyard produces wine that ranks among the top 10 in Japan, and you can also tour the winery. In addition, Oita is the number one hot spring prefecture in Japan and there are four hot springs in Ansuin-machi.Yufuin and Beppu, famous for their hot springs, are 30 minutes away by car. Come and experience the Earth with all five senses, surrounded by the vibrant energy of nature.

The host has just returned to his hometown of Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, after spending half his life training as a cook. The inn was started by the host's grandparents, and is now run by the third generation. We provide a luxurious nature filled experience in the countryside where not even a single bus passes through. The inn is surrounded by nice gardens and rivers, and the nearby shrines have great atmosphere. The rich scent of the straw from tatami as you lay down your futon, for breakfast enjoy four season cha-kaiseki prepared kaishiki style with wild plants or crops from our gardens and other local specialties.
