Monthly Rentals in Lacka Road

Had a wonderful stay with the kids. The gardens are huge and fun to explore, greenway on the doorstep, great food in the cafe and the cabins are beautifully done.

I don't usually leave a review but on this occasion I felt that it was so well deserved. Everything about the cottage was perfect and even better than the photos. Ciaran and Mairead have thought of everything, even down to the few bits left for us on arrival like milk, eggs and soda bread. We were so comfortable during our stay - it was like home away from home - and we were so sad to leave. Due to a delay in our arrival, unfortunately we didn't get to meet Ciaran or Mairead in person but they are super responsive hosts and answered any questions we had promptly. We are already talking about going back so maybe next time we will get to say hello in person!!! Our 3 year old son loved it so much and is still talking about is 'holiday house' and how much he wants to go back. Ciaran & Mairead's cottage really is such a hidden gem that I am almost reluctant to spread the word just so I can keep it as our own little paradise.

We've been travelling around Ireland for a little over 3 weeks and this AirBnb was the most comfortable place we stayed it by a long shot. Beds were super comfy, everything's so spacious, kitchen is decently kitted and if you need anything, Louise will be there to provide it for you. The only downside is that it's a 15 minute drive over from Waterford, or a 30 minute drive from Kilkenny, but that's a non-issue if you have a car. It's a very peaceful rural setting next to the castle. It would be great to look at stars or do night photography, but the nights we were there, there was a slight overcast. Would definitely stay there again. Louise is great to talk to.

Very new and very modern house with high quality equipment and appliances throughout the house. This is an A2 rated building with an air source heat pump. However, this house is very comfortable and pleasantly warm without the heating being on, due to the excellent windows, doors, and insulation. Wifi is excellent and the Heating is easily controlled. Note, this house is in a housing estate with some building work to be completed on other roads. That being said, it was very quiet and private for us. Pub and shops are close by and are walkable. Its a good base for the Waterford Greenway, with the city and Kilmacthomas within easy driving distance. Ger kept in touch throughout and was very quick to respond. We had a very comfortable home-from-home stay.
