Great value for money, in the heart of San Marcos. The apartment was very clean and well-proportioned, with all the amenities you’d need. The roof terrace was great, and we loved that the water in the apartment was filtered - a great touch! The local area is great and there’s plenty to do in San Marcos, or a quick boat taxi to the other parts of the lake. Be aware that it’s a very ‘hippy’ vibe, if that’s not your thing… To anyone staying here, please support the local restaurants in the area! It was a shame to see so many empty places nearby (presumably as lots of tourists stay in all-inclusive retreats)!

This cabin is so stunning and peaceful! Antonia was very responsive and met me to help carry my suitcase. He even brought me potable water when I asked! This is the perfect stay for a solo traveler - there is one twin bed up in the loft - super comfy and cozy. I’ll be back!

AMATE Atitlán felt like a hug from nature. The cabin is simple in the best way — beautiful, clean, and full of little touches that make you feel cared for. There’s this quiet, grounding vibe in the space that made me feel really at peace. And the view… it’s hard to put into words. Dar was such a kind host, really easy to talk to, and made everything flow smoothly and safely. It’s one of those places that stays in your heart.
