Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Ontario

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin! Liz and Craig were wonderful and accommodating hosts and always quick to respond. My 5 year old loved the trampoline, was obsessed with the Hot Tub, and we all loved visits from Honey. It was the perfect family getaway. The cottage is clean and the beds are comfy! We look forward to coming back!

This was a fantastic weekend getaway for us and everything was just as described. Very, VERY nice. One small suggestion: perhaps one of those big thermometers nailed to a tree to fond the AM temp?

This place is beautiful looks even nicer in person than on the pictures . It’s very peaceful and fairly easy to find they left little notes around the house to find extra linens toilet paper etc which was a very cute touch . has a lot of stuff to do outside and inside it is the perfect little get together cabin the host is very nice helpful and attentive with any questions you may have through the stay definitely recommend

I found this place during the power outage, hoping to find somewhere warm to stay, I was pleasantly surprised as I have stayed in many Airbnb’s for pleasure/travel. This was the first time I have ever felt that every section of this place was so meticulous to the travelers stay! It’s dog friendly. I had my senior great day in there with my partner, and we will definitely be coming to visit again ! It’s the perfect little getaway from every day life for you and your partner. I absolutely adored staying here and the host is absolutely amazing. You can tell she really cares about that place and who stays there.

Demilune Lodge is an incredible cabin on the lake! Backing onto wetlands of South Bay the sounds were an orchestra of nature and the stars are absolutely beautiful at night. The cabin is very private if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The dock was perfect for launching our canoe, and we most definitely want to come back with our kayaks for some longer paddles on bigger water and explore more of the beautiful limestone cliff shoreline. Lots of hiking and scenic walks in the South Shore with all of the wildlife reserves and conservation lands. A short drive to amazing food and beverage. This cabin is amazing and we will most definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at The Nook, a beautifully converted barn that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting and the charming character of the property. The barn has been thoughtfully renovated—retaining its rustic charm while offering all the modern comforts you could want. The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless, with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely touches throughout that made it feel special. One of our favorite features was the dedicated meditation area, complete with yoga mats and calming décor—it was the perfect space to unwind and reconnect.

Awesome place to stay. We stayed for a salmon fishing trip and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is nice and secluded from everything and very private. House was also very clean and whenever we needed anything Juanita was quick to respond and help us out!!

From the private location, the acres of cedar trees and secret pathways to the wetlands and the singing frogs, baby goats and their gentle mama’s, the kindness radiating from Humble Ranch is tangible. The owners welcomed me by moving long and deep into presence clipping the goats feet 😅 donkey, horse and the strange and wonderful alpacas were nothing but gracious hosts as well. Loving it all. The cabin was complete and comfy. TV was a bonus! What a wonderful weekend! Gracias amigas 🥳

A nice place to relax with a great fire pit. Ideally located between Toronto and Ottawa, which worked great for our group. Asha was very responsive. Would stay here again!

Great little spot. Everything is super well labeled and easy to follow. They had everything we needed to make a pizza which was a surprise to us both. I also really needed q tips for like a week and all of the other Airbnbs hadn’t had them and then when we got here, they had them! Heroes. They’ve thought of all of the little things and that’s what makes them great!

My boyfriend, dog, and I LOVED our stay at the A-frame. Our dog is ten years old and has never been on vacation. He is a reactive dog in general. This place was perfect! He was able to be off leash at the property and enjoyed the outdoors with us without the fear of other people or dogs wandering on the property space. We brought a paw cast kit and were able to imprint his paw print, which is a memory that will last forever. Geographically…less than 10 minutes to scenic Keuka Lake with supplies and fishing. Was able to buy firewood directly in town. Recommend bringing your own to make one less trip. There was some left by previous guest but was wet due to some rain. Rain or shine…we loved the property and being outside in wildlife. It was great to cook after a long day and felt the host did was a fabulous job with stocked supplies. Of course, bring muddy shoes! We ran into our little pheasant friend who was absolutely adorable and fearless. Stars we’re beautiful at night ✨

John is a very warm and approachable host. He was there to welcome us and show us around the cottage. He was available to quickly come over when we needed something and is overall really pleasant. He was kind enough to let us know that we could use a part of his property that is enclosed to let our dog off-leash and play. The property feels very private, by a beautiful quaint meandering stream. The interior of the cottage is spacious and free for clutter with a more than capable large wood fire furnace. The outhouse was as clean as it can be.

The log home was beautiful snow was on the ground for Christmas and they even set up a tree inside with lights for my kids . We all loved our stay and it saved the holidays .

Hygge retreat house. Peaceful and serene. Family friendly. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a sweet package. They also had a high chair. The pictures really do not do this place justice. It was really spacious to accommodate our family of four. We are from Florida and wanted to find a place to connect and play in the snow and this place fit the bill perfectly. The kids slid down the hill in a sled then bounded in all covered in snow for a nice cup of hot chocolate made on the stove. This house feels like you are visiting your great aunt’s cabin in the mountains. It felt very private we didn’t see another human for the entire time we were there. Our slow sleepy mornings were spent cuddled underneath cozy blankets looking out the huge picture windows watching the snow fall on the beautiful view. You will not regret connecting with your family in this little slice of heaven.

We spontaneously booked at Pine Peak and it was so lovely! There were so many activities for kids and a great view from the cabin. We will be back !

This is the perfect stay for hiking nearby state parks of New York and winery hopping on the wine trail! Amber’s cabin was clean, cozy, and a great location for everything we wanted to do. Although the cabin does have limited amenities, the bed was comfy to sleep in and the mini-fridge was a savior! We used the bonfire outside, which did have chairs provided, and it was so peaceful and homey. Both of us felt very safe and secluded in this cabin. The walk to the bathroom/shower is short and clean! Both Watkins Glen and Buttermilk State Parks are a 30 minute drive and Taughannock State Park is a 15 minute drive from this spot. There are TONS of wineries anywhere from 5-30 minutes away, which is perfect for hopping! Amber was a great host because she was responsive and provided us first timers to the finger lakes some recommendations that we tried and were not disappointed in! Overall, we highly recommend Amber and her cabin. If we ever go back, we would definitely stay here again! :)

This place is amazing! A cozy cabin in the woods with a sauna and hot tub – perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Ryan is super friendly and always ready to help. Thank you for creating such a wonderful spot! We’d love to come back again.

My friends and I had a wonderful one-night stay! The place was perfect for us—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location was ideal, offering a cozy, private atmosphere with a beautiful sky and moonlit night. The facilities had everything we needed, making our trip even more enjoyable. Cant say enough great things about our stay this weekend. The property was very clean, it says a lot when an outdoor kitchen is more clean than most indoor kitchens. It was a cold night so it was nice to have an awesome fire pit and the room for sleeping stayed warm throughout the night. Excellent communication from the host throughout the whole process. Will definitely be back here and have already recommended to several friends. Thanks!!

My lady and I went for a night getaway from the hustle of daily life. Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, exactly what we had been looking for. Everything was very very clean. Well done, clearly pride in keeping up and building the cabin into what it is.
