Under the chestnut tree is our romantic detached cottage in the picturesque Schellinkhout. Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, TV and 2 pers. bed with lovely mattress. In 10 steps you are on the sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing and (kite)surfing. Walk along the bird bread area, bike in the area, golf in Westwoud or explore VOC port towns of Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

This unique home is built under architectural design and guidance. Rural location on the outskirts of forest and sand drift. Veluwemeer is within cycling distance. Culture and culinary experiences are plentiful in the surrounding area. Downstairs, everything is on the same floor. People with disabilities are welcomed as well. (Host assistance, is available due to availability. He is a nurse) Pets are not allowed (except for service dogs). No parties! No smoking in the house.
