“Have been going to Sand-pond Lake for many years, second time we have stayed in Claudia’s cabins. Claudia makes herself available to you, but leaves you to yourself unless needed. You are in the woods, so the first year we had an ant problem, not a one this year! You are in a remote location and she is very helpful on sending you info prior to your stay, and keeps the cabins clean, and upgrades as needed. Looking forward to next year.”
I live on a country dirt road in a 100+ year old New Hampshire farm house less than 5 miles from Mt Sunapee skiing and state beach. My guest accommodations feature a large private bedroom, private bath, and long private covered porch complete with rocking chairs. Guest quarts are separated from main house by shared entry with locking doors to each. Features a lovely view of the back side of Mt Sunapee, with nature pond and animals. Well-behaved and housebroken dogs on leash are considered.
“This was an ideal AirBnB experience. Heidi was available as needed but also respected our space and privacy. The room is very comfortable with a smart TV and space heater in addition to the Keurig stocked with coffee and tea which was so nice to have in the morning. And it was a joy to watch the goats out the window! We only stayed one night but it is definitely somewhere we want to return to! The location is fantastic for winter and summer activities in Mount Sunapee area.”
If you’re looking for serenity, peace and quiet, you have found it, nestled in the little town of Acworth, NH. You will find plenty of year round activities including swimming, canoeing, paddle boating and fishing on the beautiful, clear Crescent Lake. Enjoy all waterfront activities, only a few steps away from your front door. There are plenty of rafts, a paddle boat, kayaks and canoe on site for your use or bring your own boat to the public boat launch right on the lake and park on our dock
“David was quick with communication and was great about accommodating a late checkout since he didn't have anyone coming in. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood with a nice partial view of the lake from the front. The lake is across the street accessed by a nicely lit path. We were supposed to be a group of 8 but ended up 5 and only there for a weekend so we did not get a chance to take advantage of all the amenities provided. Our dog enjoyed the paddle boat and we took out a provided kayak as well while others in the group went and played some golf nearby. Nice dog touch is the dog line in the back yard. The shed has just about everything you could possibly want to borrow for outdoor activities year round. There was definitely enough room for sleeping 8. Seating all 8 at once in a single room is a little tougher but it is a wide open layout with the kitchen and the living room together. There are also 2 other rooms to hang out in - enclosed porch has some seating as well as the lower level where there is a Foosball table and mini pinball machine. Kitchen is far more "loaded" than I expected (note the coffee maker is a pod system). Grill was a nice touch. Bathrooms are amazing! Everyone in the group wanted to try out the one shower & had we stayed longer I definitely would have tried out the jet tub. We would definitely stay again.”
