A fire gets lit in cooler months, and the bedroom wakes with the sun. Outside, a table sits where the light hits the vines. Blame Mabel is within reach of Geelong and Melbourne, yet the property has the calm and space of the country all to itself. There’s no television. Reception comes and goes. Nights are still.
