The Pool House - Gorssel

Imagine yourself in an oasis of peace in this cottage located on the outskirts of Gorssel in a walled green garden full of bamboo and rhododendron, surrounded by beautiful tall trees and an estate, on a quiet road. Inside, the cabin is a loft with a higher seating area with a hanging wood stove, a kitchen with bar and a double bedroom with bathroom, and upstairs in the ridge/vide there are 3 more sleeping places. Parallel to the house is an unheated natural swimming pool with a 13-meter swimming lane.

Huisje de Klaproos is a mix of modern design and antiques. The kitchen has a stove, oven and refrigerator and various equipment. Organic teas and coffee are provided. The beautiful bathroom on the ground floor has a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin on wooden shelf and hairdryer. Weleda shampoo and shower gel are provided. On the first floor is the spacious double bedroom with toilet and washbasin. Can ONLY be booked per WEEK, MIDWEEK, LONG WEEKEND and WEEKEND. Changeover days FRIDAY and MONDAY.

Dream away in luxurious divan beds (180 × 210 cm) with the sound of owls in the background, and wake up to the tapping of a woodpecker.

Charming paradise on the IJssel

We have expanded this former farmhouse into a nice house. We have a large garden measuring 5,000 m², with a lovely covered alcove at the front where you can sit outside in the dry, and a raised terrace at the rear overlooking the expansive garden and large swimming pond. Behind the hedge, there is a wood-fired 'barrel' sauna. There is also an orchard with pears, plums and apples and walnuts... a secret path to a chalet at the back of the garden and everywhere a beautiful view of the IJssel.

There are very good possibilities for walking and biking in the area (old farms and mansions in the neighbourhood). From the summer house it is 5 km to Bathmen a lovely village with plenty of restaurants. Also there is an outdoor pool at 3 km distance. Former Hanze cities as Zutphen (22 km) and Deventer (15 km) are easy to reach. A bit further Apeldoorn with the former Summer Palace of our royal family, national park Veluwe and Kroller Moller (Art) museum. Amsterdam is an hours drive.

NEW 🌟Guesthouse "Het Koetshuis" with swimming pond

Since August 2021, our coach house has been converted into a Guesthouse! Hosting the first Guesthouse was so good that we decided to add a second one. The house is free-standing on our 4.5-hectare property. The view is stunning and overlooks the meadow. The plot has a large swimming pond with beach, an orchard with flower garden, a field with playground equipment and a meadow. All this is accessible to our guests. * Our garden can also be booked as a shooting location

Since July 2020, our guest house has been open for bookings: A renovated old barn, located on the grounds of our 1804 farm, located on 4.5 acres of grassland. Ideal for 1-4 people, a 5th guest is welcome. 2 double beds + 1 stretcher. On request: 1 cot and 1 travel bed. It is completely independent. The barn has been renovated while retaining original materials, trendy interior and amazing views of our garden. * Our garden can also be booked as a shoot location

The swimming pool at the campsite can be used free of charge.
