This basement apartment is on the Pell City side of the lake close to the dam. It has a huge porch overlooking the lake with outdoor table to enjoy dinner or coffee while watching sail boats or heron fly around. It's close to the Birmingham Sail Club and only 15 minutes to a supermarket. Enjoy a private entrance on the lower level with a large flat yard and dock while you stay at this well appointed apartment. The apartment was occupied full time for 3 years. This Loft in Gadsden offers prime downtown lodging with access to dining and shopping. This mid-century modern loft features an open-concept space, a master suite with a queen bed, 2 custom tile showers, a walk-in closet & free laundry. The 2nd bedroom listed is actually the living room since it has a full bath. We have a queen air Mattress and 2 comfy beds that fold out. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. This place is close to everything.

Our building was built in 1930. The apartment was originally a boarding house that sat above a retail store. While it has been fully remodeled, the exposed brick walls, wood floors, transom doors, and much of the trim are original to the building, retaining its ninety year old charm. The sitting area and the front bedroom each have a door that opens onto the balcony that over looks the downtown entertainment district. The areas best shops, boutiques, and restaurants are on the same block!

We made our space unique with a kitchenette to encourage local dining, however our kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, microwave that is also an air fryer and convection oven. We are also a happy host of our local talent with paintings and crafts to encourage shopping local.
