overall rhe experience staying here with my small family was exactly what we needed. Miranda was very clear on what was expected upon arrival and departure. the location was great and the little stream in the garden was lovely to wake up too. I would definitely consider staying here if you want somewhere peaceful and not too far way from other locations, like the beach, Edinburgh and beautiful walks. ❤️ thanks Miranda for making our stay worth while.

Lovely welcome from Amanda. Welcome pack very much appreciated from Amanda. Very clean, airy, spacious cosy cottage in a lovely area of Gavinton. Warm cottage and very well equipped kitchen. For a cooler evening a lovely multi fuel stove. Very quiet at night. 2miles from Duns where youll find a well stocked co-op and gift shops post office, bistro, pharmacy, Chinese and pizza takeaway and bakery plus ice creams. Many tourist attractions within easy driving of Gavinton. St Abbs Head was spectacular especially in glorious sunshine and warmth. The beaches on this coast line are breath taking especially Coldingham. A totally enjoyable relaxing stay in The Den Gavinton

This was a last minute decision to book and we were not disappointed. What a great little place. The cottage has everything a couple would need and the log burner kept us very cosy. Whilst the cottage is on a small holding/farm, the cottage feels very private, with the security of the owners being close by. We pre-ordered the Lamb Tagine for our first night and it was excellent as were the complimentary brownies there for us on arrival. Great place to just kick back and chill. We will be back.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. Thank you so much for having us, we had a great time 😀
