Denise was a fabulous host and I felt welcome right from the start. What a treat to find fresh eggs from their hens, four kinds of home made bread, and some other home baked delights waiting upon your arrival. Denise also provided me with great advice on what to visit. The cabin had everything I needed to relax and cook. Thanks to a roof window in the living room, there was much more daylight than I would have expected from the pictures. Also, I found the bed to be very comfortable and it was absolutely quiet. Overall, two very relaxing days. Hoping to come back again some other time.

We chose this location as a last stop before having to head back to Dublin airport. Highly recommend, great location near the Wicklow national forest if you like hiking, was about 1.5 hours from airport. House was inviting and clean and host graciously left essentials like eggs and coffee. Clean beds and bathroom. Had all of the kitchen utensils needed. Host also gave great recommendations for local food and hikes of which we enjoyed!

We are 5 friends who meet once a year and look for properties in rural locations, peaceful settings, scenery, great local walks and restaurants. The Old Cowshed ticked all the boxes and more. Jane and Sean were so welcoming and helpful. They are so lucky to live in such an idyllic part of Wicklow. With the beautiful village of Roundwood close by we had access to shops and dined in a delicious restaurant. Glendalough is only a short drive away and was spectacular. Thank you Jane and Sean and congratulations on your stunning property, it is wonderful.

This was our 3rd stay at Orlaith's cottage and still continues to be one of our favourite AirBnB destinations. There is nothing better than spending a day hiking in the Wicklow Mountains and returning "home" to Orlaith's cozy cottage, complete with fresh eggs and homemade bread. Our short walk from her place to the steps of the best hiking in Wicklow starts with a round of "hellos" from Buddy the dog, a bunch of curious goats and the charming "George" the donkey. Returning after a long day of hiking to the same lovely animals, starting a fire in the gorgeous hearth and enjoying the peace and quiet is indescribable. Can't recommend the area, the beautiful cottage or Orlaigh's hospitality enough!
