Moorview Cottage is a beautiful, well positioned and peaceful place to spend time away from home. The cottage has everything you could dream of, from a well stocked kitchen to a library full of books with recommendations for local walks. The log burners and the sparkling lights made for a perfect spot to relax in on cold evenings and listen to the wildlife on the surrounding moors. There are so many walk options from the front door or a short drive away. The train station is a few minutes from the front door, connecting you to local villages if you don’t want to get in the car. Tony and Sally were always on had to help and had thought of everything. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever had and the Christmas decoration tasteful and fun. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back to enjoy the cottage another time.

We had a fantastic stay in Diane’s cottage. It’s a lovely place, very well equipped, and in a great location for exploring the area. Communication with Diane beforehand was really easy, and she provided plenty of useful information and tips. We loved Hawes, and indeed the many places around it. We will definitely return, and if so, wouldn’t hesitate to stay in Diane’s cottage again.

My partner and I stayed in the studio for 2 weeks while working in the area. Viv and her husband Ernie, were wonderful, kind, thoughtful hosts and I had some great chats especially with Ernie. The property is on the grounds of their farmhouse home set in beautiful rural East Cumbria, just a stone's throw across the river from Sedbergh. The property itself was clean and cosy and has most requirements for a comfortable stay.

Great little place in a perfect location to explore all the amazing surrounding walks and pubs.
