We absolutely loved our time in Tekapo at Lisa’s AirBnb! Lisa is an incredible host, provided us with so many local recommendations and got the hot tub ready for us every night, but always gave us privacy once it was ready. The hot tub was so blissful and was incredible for star gazing! We weren’t at the Airbnb much, other than for using the hot tub and sleeping so the size of it didn’t really bother us, but a heads up for others that it is quite small inside and was pretty tight for us as we both had large suitcases. I wouldn’t let the size of the Airbnb put you off though, as it’s a great Airbnb!

The location of the accommodation is a great addition. The space is not large, but is big enough for one or two people. The cleanliness of the accommodation, utensils, and other tools is also great.

Our family of 7 stayed here for 3 nights and we wished we had booked for longer! It was one of our fav places to stay at on our whole trip - stunning views, comfortable rooms, super easy check in and out, clean, quiet … and one of the most well equipped kitchens for cooking anything imaginable (they even have a rice cooker and a Korean BBQ pan)! On a clear night you can go to the back of the house and see the Milky Way! Highly recommend and would come back again!

A fabulous home and each room having a bathroom was a real bonus. Very easy instructions for our stay, the home was very clean and a handy location to the shops, restaurants and lake. Highly recommend

We had a lovely, cosy stay at Teresa’s place. The garden setting of the property is pretty, peaceful and quiet. The beds were warm and comfy and we were kindly gifted a welcome treats pack from the owners. Would happily recommend this lovely accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Twizel.

This is the best Airbnb that I ever had before, it’s really worth to stay here, it surprised us a lot by all the little decorations m, everything is stunning, I want to stay again for sure, it’s more than perfect! Thanks Steve and Sally.

We loved staying in Andrea's Airbnb! There was plenty of space for our family of 5, the layout was nice, kitchen and bathrooms fully equipped, and - perhaps the highlight for us - the wood-stove/fireplace right there in the dining area. What a joy to eat dinner after a cold day hiking in the mountains, right next to a roaring fire! It was very quiet at night, and the beds were so comfortable. We slept like babies. It was only about 50 minutes drive to Mt Cook, and for us was a much better option than trying to stay at the park itself. Twizel was a nice little town with peaceful streets, some very nice restaurants, a Foursquare grocery store (very handy for stocking up before the hikes), and what we found especially cool was the food-trucks near the town park that sold all kinds of delicious foods which we took home for dinner. I wouldn't even give it a second thought: if we're in the area again in the future, THIS is where I will want to stay. Thanks Andrea!

Lake Ohau is a hidden gem. It was perfect for us, as we love our peace and quiet. Everything was seamless from the booking to when we left. The house itself is wonderful with lots of space for the whole family and it would be perfect for a mid winter ski break. We especially loved gazing at the stars and would love to return one day.

Casey was a superb and friendly host—she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The house was warm and ready when we arrived, spotless throughout, and in a great location. All the amenities were thoughtfully provided. Very good host and Airbnb—highly recommended!
