Holiday rentals with lake access in Madeira Island

Thank you for taking me to your wonderful place! I enjoyed the calm of the place, the surrounding nature, the landscape and obviously the waterfall. Great hikes are nearby for amateurs. The host is also very friendly and even if I don't speak Portuguese we were able to talk in English.

We had a lovely stay at Jorge's place- the view of the sea and the quiet location are fantastic. Jorge was always easily accessible and with his directions we were able to find the accommodation well. Thank you:)

Accommodation in an incredible location. We had a very good stay in this peculiar and curious house, and we were able to eat bananas from their own harvest. A good experience!

We had a great stay here (over the new year period). The apartment is great, was exactly as per the photos, descriptions and our expectations. Previous reviews we had read mention some noise, there is an element of that but for us it was nothing more than you would expect of any apartment centrally located in a bustling European city; probably more so when we were there as there is a fantastic festive atmosphere over the new year period. There are some fantastic restaurants nearby, we loved Akua and went there a few times during our stay and it is located on a street parallel to this apartment. The hosts of this AirBnB were especially thoughtful, probably the best we have ever come across over many years of using AirBnB. Very helpful, full of useful info and very quick to respond about any queries/advice. Recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Smiling Petals. Claudia is an incredibly attentive host and made us feel right at home . The apartment was well appointed and spotless . The view was spectacular. We would highly recommend staying at Smiling Petals and hope to return !

Claudia’s place is a peaceful retreat with a breathtaking ocean view. We stayed in a cozy private unit with a comfy bed, a fully equipped kitchen (with everything needed for cooking), and a spacious veranda — perfect for slow breakfasts and quiet evenings of drawing. Claudia is a warm and caring host. We were welcomed with sweet treats, fresh fruits, water, and juice — such a thoughtful gesture. The silence, the view, and the little details made us feel truly at home. There’s parking on-site or just up the road. A place full of calm, beauty, and heart. We’ll always remember it.

Fantastic apartment in a great location. Ideal for a couple or someone travelling on their own. Spotlessly clean, easily accessible from a quiet street, in central area of Funchal, with a great view of the marina from both the bedroom and kitchen areas. Very comfortable bed, ample supply of towels and toiletries, as well as a welcome pack of local food on our arrival. Alex & Lucy were extremely helpful, organising airport transfers for us as well as being readily available for any queries we had. Apartment is in an ideal location, close to the marina, bus stops, tourist information kiosks, boats for dolphin & whale watching, tour buses, Funchal Cathedral, cable cars and many very good restaurants. Air conditioning was excellent and very welcome in the 25+degrees of summer sunshine. We would definitely stay here again. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful apartment. We had a lovely stay at Claudia's, who is very welcoming and attentive to her hosts ☺️ The apartment is very clean, we enjoyed the great view and the private terrace. It has everything you need to stay serenely, the apartment is well equipped! We also enjoyed the private parking space.
