Following Covid cleaning protocol-more below Beth’s Place-established in 2014- is a private apartment with it's own private entrance. The apartment is spacious, well-appointed and we know you will love it! Just minutes, even walking distance from down town Potsdam. 1 mile from Clarkson, 2 miles from SUNY Potsdam, 10 miles from SLU and SUNY Canton. We are right on the river with Kayaks available for guests to use. Electric car owners - we have a 220V/30A Tesla/EV charge hook up available
“Spotless! Beth's place was sparkling clean, had a well-equipped kitchen (not always the case!), and was even better than advertised. She provided detailed "how to" instructions for all the amenities and was the perfect kind of host: available and responsive but otherwise invisible. Bonus! The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was top quality. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the beautiful Raquette river, and kicking back with Netflix in the evening. So much better than a hotel, highly recommended!”
Our home is walking distance to resturants, shopping, parks, walking trails, SUNY Potsdam and Clarkston universities. We have two smaller dogs, therefore, we are unable to accept pets. The area offers many site seeing adventures, breathtaking fall colors, and winter wonderland beauty. The Adirondacks offer over 3000 lakes with fishing, hunting, boating, camping, hiking, all winter sports and much more. Take a beautiful scenic drive to lake Placid, home of winter Olympics of 1980.
“Friendly housemates, morning coffee and a prime location next to Clarkson University made for a wonderful campus visit. Quaint room in a charming home walking distance to town. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and available to answer any questions right away. Thanks for a great stay!”
We have a small hobby farm on ten acres, with a main house and a guesthouse. The guesthouse has two options: (1) the downstairs only (sleeps 2 in one queen-size bed and includes a bathroom) for the price for two guests; (2) the entire house (upstairs [2 single beds; no bathroom] and downstairs) for the price for 3 or 4 guests, depending on how many rooms you need. Both options include the kitchen, the sitting room, and the back deck. No animals allowed.
“You should definitely stay here. Super comfy bed. Kitchen had all the utensils and cookware needed for us to make our meals. So relaxing and nice for a quick peaceful getaway. Carrie was a wonderful host and very flexible working with us to accommodate some of our unforeseen circumstances. I'm not sure if this is standard, but Carrie had also left some fresh eggs from her hens for us (which were a delicious breakfast) and some homemade pressed cider (which was also SUPER delicious) and helped make our vacation just a little more perfect.”
