Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Magdalena

Frana Lodge is a beautiful place, a real authentic hidden gem. The hike to the lodge is a little challenging with your bags, but well worth it! Crossing through the stream is actually refreshing on a hot day and adds to the whole experience of the location. Once you arrive, you can relax in the hammocks, greet the pets, and have a cold beer or a very tasty icy fresh fruit drink. The lodge itself is perfectly clean, offers spectacular views, lots of local trails, and it’s walking distance to Tayrona National Park. Franz took a lot of extra time talking to us about things to do on our short 3 night stay, offering suggestions including a really great local cocoa tour. He also arranged onsite massages. They offer breakfast & delicious dinners for a small fee. The food is 100% fresh and homemade. Lunch is not offered, but you can eat lunch when you’re out during the day nearby. It’s the perfect place to relax & get away. Thank you, Franz & staff.

Incredible spot on a river in the jungle. Was an adventure to get to and involved crossing a very shallow river, but that meant that it was super private and totally immersed in nature. Staff (shoutout to Daniel!) were all delightful. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Dario’s home is so wonderful! It’s gorgeous and eco conscious in a great location in Palomino but outside of the busy area. Dario was a very kind and helpful host. I’d love to stay here again when I’m in Palomino

Amazing place! So peaceful and quiet we only hear the sound of the nature. Everyone was just so welcoming, we truly felt at home. Be aware that you have to walk about 20 minutes in the middle of the jungle with the heat, sun and not easy road but it is totally worth it. Johanna even recommended a 4x4 to pick you up if needed! The breakfast is amazing and they offert to clean your room everyday. We will definitely miss this incredible place.

Best Casa Cabana ever. The place is amazing! You have privacy with a bamboo fence and private garden. 1 minute walk to the beach and quick walk down the beach to the main streets of palomino. Which is great because it’s far enough away to keep down the noise. The bathroom is beautiful and everything is so clean. Breakfast is included and it’s delicious. This Cabana is operated by Casa Chapolin and that’s where you go to check in. It was easy. And the Cabana is a 5 minute walk with will take you. And breakfast is at Casa Chapolin in the morning. We have stayed in allot of bamboo grass houses and this is the best so far. And it wasn’t hot at night. You get a nice breeze and sounds of the ocean. We are so happy we chose this spot Tips: the ceiling fan has a remote - I didn’t find it until the second night

We really liked this place, the communication with those who were serving us. They made us feel very pleased. The place is perfectly located for hike to the beach or trunk, we had a shop right next door for the moments we had lazy going out and they had almost everything in it. I would definitely come back

Nice place! We enjoyed the deck with hammocks, lovely garden, great views. Lots of birds. The room is really small for two people (plus baggage) and as others have mentioned you can hear other guests quite well. There are about 4 guest rooms total, I think, with shared balcony. Lizeth kindly recommended a taxi driver to us so the arrival was easy. Note the location is uphill from town so it feels a bit difficult to get in & out of town without taking a moto. Pozo Encantada nearby is very nice and there are a couple restaurants near. A bit of noise from the road. Lizeth and other hosts were friendly and we enjoyed our time. Thanks!

Villa Tayrona was a dream place to stay! The gardens are exquisite and we saw so many beautiful birds from the balcony of our room! Lina was so responsive and helpful. She told us about a lovely local pool to swim during the day and helped us book massages. The massages were so tranquil, outside under the pavilion on the property! There are many little touches that make this stay special. Comfortable beds, clean sheets, gorgeous design in the rooms, bathrooms and outdoor kitchen. Ear plugs and a white noise machine in the room in case the road noise bothers you (it did not bother us). The air conditioning, mini fridge and smart TV were also such a treat. We loved the stunning floral arrangements on the tables and the friendliest house dog (Leo) and cat (Nolo). Yuca, the restaurant, had extremely delicious food!! The curry, stir fried rice and pasta were all delicious ! Breakfast was yummy too. The chef was so talented and the staff were friendly. Overall, highly recommend!
