Rebecca's place was one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in! The place is beautiful and ideal for families (especially great for kids!). The outdoor space is a bonus! We appreciated Rebecca's help answering questions quickly and arranging a taxi for us to the Airport for our early flight departure. Location is so peaceful, and a 10 min walk from the delightful downtown Carrick, comfy beds, soaking tub, well-appointed kitchen. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We hope to return! Thank you!

Excellent place to stay. As described, very clean and nicely decorated and made a good base for sightseeing. Parking easy too.

This is a fantastic place and would highly recommend to anyone who prefers a quite and peaceful stay. The cottage is cozy and has all the necessary amenities and more. Nicola has been extremely responsive and very helpful. I am sure she takes every effort to make you feel welcomed and at home.

We have had the most amazing time at The Beach Shack after spending 4 nights there. We are a family of 7…2 adults and 5 children ranging from 5 to 15 years old. When we arrived, check in was simple, the cottage was clean, decorated beautifully and had the most gorgeous tray bakes waiting with instructions/guidance on everything we needed to know about the cottage and surrounding area. The views were stunning with the beach right on the door step and P&O ferries passing by regularly. Apart from spending a lot of time on the beach, we walked the path to Blackhead Lighthouse (in Whitehead), visited Portmuck and on the rainy day we went for lunch at Josh Mac’s in Carrickfergus and then to the cinema. The local Rinkha’s ice cream was also good to try! Natasha was always available when I needed questions answered and always responded promptly. We had a very enjoyable trip and hope to be back again soon. We really have had a super time! Thank you 🤩
