Idyllic, Romantic Beachfront Apartment in Malibu
Fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves in this charming beachfront apartment. The light, airy home features open-plan living and a wall of windows to maximize the amazing views. Enjoy drinks on the deck and a sunset over the water—it's pure bliss. This beachfront apartment is right above the sand and surf. At night the sounds of the sea will lull you to sleep. During the day, you can watch the sea lions sunning on the rocks and dolphins and whales swimming by or go for a walk along the water's edge and dive in yourself. This is an amazing place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset and relax! In the evening, the lights of the "Queen's Necklace" glimmer in the distance and the moonlight shines on the water. The living room is cozy with two loveseats to snuggle in and watch a movie on the 50" flat screen TV. Three large sliding glass doors open up if you want to let the ocean breezes blow through. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with an apartment size stove and oven, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker and a French press, tea kettle, toaster and all the dishes and pots and pans you need. A round table with linens provides a beautiful spot for morning coffee. The bedroom has a queen bed with a new organic mattress and designer sheets, pillows and duvet. There is a large closet with room to store your clothes. Books line the bookshelves if you'd like something to read. Mostly, this is just a quiet, beautiful space to put your feet up and really relax while watching the endless panorama of the natural world outside. And....if you want to feel like a movie star, the apartment was recently used as a glamorous setting in an independent film due out soon!!! Two-person kayak (life jackets available) Boogie Boards and a surfboard Television with premium channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.) Wi-Fi Shared entry gate with one other unit. My husband and I live in a small cottage above the apartment but the only shared space is the entry door. We rarely even see our guests. However, I am always available to answer questions or concerns but almost no one has them! Situated directly above the sand and surf, the home is in a residential area along the Malibu coast, away from the tourist areas. Take in the stars at night while strolling along the beach, or eat at one of the nearby restaurants right on the water. There is bus service available just a minute from the apartment that will take you into Santa Monica or the center of Malibu, or farther north to some of Malibu's more remote beaches. Uber is readily available. At high tide, the ocean may come right up to the seawall limiting beach availability. This all depends on the moon, the tides and the amount of sand that we have. This can really vary from day to day and depending on the season. This winter, rough seas washed away our private stairs to the beach, so guests need to use the public access stairs just a few houses away and a very short walk.

Luxuriate in total tranquility in this one of a kind design jewel. Indulge the senses in this spectacular home with walls of glass, disappearing sliding doors, mid-century furnishings, cozy heated floors, an outdoor living room, enchanting gardens, outdoor shower and a pond. Located a short block from the heart of hip and stylish Abbot Kinney Blvd. The main bedroom offers a California King pillow-top mattress and closes off from the bedroom hallway with curtains. The cozy 2nd “bedroom alcove” closes off from the bedroom hallway with a curtain as well, and has a Queen size memory-foam mattress. Luxury, tranquility, and a minimalist aesthetic permeates this recently completed home, designed by the owner/architect. An open rectangular plan defines the ground level, which passes onto green garden foliage and a fountain through floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliders. The house sits like a pavilion within the garden, the actual walls of the house becoming the perimeter hedges, trees, and borrowed views beyond. Bedroom 1 includes a California King pillow top mattress, high thread count linens, custom cabinetry, washer/dryer, and a 9 foot sliding glass wall opening on to a covered outdoor 'living room' and garden. Bedroom 2, if desired, is a bonus space off the hallway which closes off with a curtain (as does Bedroom 1) to create an additional sleeping area for up to two people. This cozy space can sleep up to two people on a high style, queen size Aerobed mattress. The house is also available for group events. Please contact me for applicable group rates. Private keyed garden entrance into a garden and the ground level of the home. Yes, owner lives in unit on second level of structure with separate entrance and garden. Situated on the most desirable street in Venice, amid historic Craftsmans, architect-designed homes, one block from world famous Abbot Kinney Boulevard. It is walking or biking distance from historic Venice canals, the boardwalk, and the beach. Abundant street parking available year round, as well public transportation within walking distance. Guests have private entry, private garden and private ground level of structure to themselves. We do require a drivers license, photo ID or passport to be shown upon check-in. The cleaning fee of $150 is applied per week of stay. Guests staying longer than 1 week will have a housekeeping service fee applied every week. A 12% local occupancy tax for stays less than 30 consecutive day will be applied in addition to the nightly and weekly prices. During the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holidays, unfortunately there is no check-in or check-out available during the following nights: 1. the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the Thursday of Thanksgiving, and the Friday after Thanksgiving 2. Private Malibu Getaway with White Water Ocean Views
Fire up the barbecue on a spacious private deck as the sun sets over the Pacific. This intimate and modern guest suite offers spectacular panoramic ocean views. Jump into your own private plunge pool (6’x12’) to cool off, or take a short walk to the beach. This is the perfect spot to escape the crowds and relax in your own secret hideaway. Our place is a beautiful one bedroom multi-level modern apartment with amazing views and loud waves. It is perfect for 2 people but can accommodates up to maximum of 4 people: queen size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Bedroom, bathroom and a walk-in closet are located on the upper level of the apartment. Bathroom has a shower cabin. Washer and dryer are in the bedroom behind the curtain. Open plan living, dining and kitchen area are on the lower level of the apartment leading to the big outside deck with the small pool. Kitchen has all the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove/oven with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We provide light breakfast - coffee, tea, oatmeal. The pool is at the deck level, just right outside of the apartment main entry. The pool can be heated for an extra daily fee of $50.00 BBQ is available, if you wish to grill something. Our home is a non-smoking environment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, either inside or outside. We politely ask to respect our guest policy and not to have more than 4 people in the apartment. Guests that don't follow our policy will be reported to Airbnb immediately. We are located right off PCH up the hill. You can access the apartment by going down the long set of stairs along the blue railing on the left side of the property. There is plenty of free street parking at the apartment. Always available in person, via phone or text, if you need anything. The guest suite sits in the lower level of the main house on a quiet street. It's within walking distance to Duke's, Old Malibu Courthouse, and La Costa Country Mart. The house is located in eastern Malibu. Why wait - come and experience the beautiful Malibu firsthand! Many people rent a car or use a car service like Uber or Lyft, but public transportation is also available. Metro line bus #534 (bus stop is 3 minute walk from the house) takes you to downtown Malibu and Santa Monica, and from there you can transfer to the Expo train line which takes you to downtown LA and elsewhere. There are also Big Blue Bus and Culver City Bus lines available in Santa Monica. It’s almost never winter in Malibu: sunny and warm, gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Malibu always offers a great escape from a busy city to enjoy the ocean, beach and sun.
