We loved our stay! Ruth's place was exactly as described. She was warm and welcoming with lots of local recommendations for our dogs to walk too. Her home was beautiful with lots of little touches that made the place feel like home. Yes, the stairs are steep and this was no issue as we read the description before arriving. To the person saying these are like ladders in another review.. this certainly isnt true. They are steep stairs, but when you take the stairs up to the bedspace you are met with the most lovely cosy space; dimly lit beautifully. We made use of the sauna despite me not being able to tolerated it but even so was a lovely added facility to try. The dogs settled well in the kitchen overnight and despite being on the main highstreet it was blissfully quiet. No disturbances what so ever. And we are hoping to come back and explore the area more!

Extremely welcoming and was a really relaxing stay in a beautiful location. The coach house has everything you need to make your stay warm and comfortable. Geraldine helped us with things to do in the area and provided us with recommendations, which was great for some of the lovely walks we went on. Very accommodating and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble, and any issues were resolved really quickly. She did everything possible to make our stay as easy as possible given we were in the middle of moving house and had a lot too deal with. Highly recommend a visit to Snelston and the coach house if you are visiting Derbyshire and the Peak District.

We stayed for 5 nights while we had work done on our house. Lovely cottage hidden away and very private; we know the area but had no idea it was there. Rachel was super helpful and always very responsive. Huge comfy bed, lovely and warm cottage and a great welcome pack with lots of thoughtful essentials and treats. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

Sophie’s place was nice and what we needed for our time in Ashbourne. We slightly struggled with the shower temperature & felt some areas could have done with a quick wipe. However, our highlight was the incredibly comfy bed! We slept like babies. Thank you.
