Holiday rentals in Marvão

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

We had a great 3 night stay at Erica's place. The house had everything we needed to cater for ourselves and we loved the outdoor terrace with view of the pool. Having a little fenced area around the house was perfect for us and our dog to relax without worry. Erica was a lovely host and even allowed us to take cuttings from the plants in the beautiful garden! We hope to visit again.

A Casa das Pedras é um óptimo sítio para ficar numa visita por estes lados. É uma zona muito calma e silenciosa, perfeita para relaxar. Só ficámos uma noite e foi pena, porque a casa convida a ficar uns bons dias para desconectar e descansar. A Márcia é uma excelente anfitriã, sempre presente e pronta a ajudar. Aconselho vivamente este local e fico com vontade de repetir!

Great place to stay. Near the main square, walkable to many of the main locations. Great host. Really a wonderful time.

Adorámos a estadia na Quinta do Miradouro! A casa está equipada com tudo o que é necessário para uma curta estadia e ótimos momentos de relaxamento, é muito espaçosa e muito tranquila, só se ouviam os rebanhos e os pássaros. O trilho à volta da casa é muito bonito de se fazer, com vistas lindas. A casa estava bem limpa, com tudo arrumado e bem cheirosa! A anfitriã Sónia respondeu sempre rápido, manteve boa comunicação e flexibilidade no check-in e check-out. Os acessos alternativos foram mostrados pela Sónia (devido a más condições do piso). Só tenho a referir o facto de a segunda casa-de-banho não ser facilmente acessível de um dos quartos, tendo de cruzar a casa inteira ou atravessar o quarto contíguo. De resto, adorámos e recomendamos a Quinta do Miradouro!

Tina’s place is a gem and so is Tina. She was super friendly and welcoming. The apartment is well equipped and the pool and surroundings are delightful. The bed is comfortable and on a platform accessed by a steep staircase. The town of Estremoz is fascinating with the biggest town square. We found an exceptional, if pricey restaurant. We would stay at Tina’s place again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Casinha da Anta! A very unique, special and cozy space surrounded by nature and tranquility! Perfect place to relax! We highly recommend it. Rui was a great host, very pleasant and knowledgeable! We loved to hear the history of this amazing home.

A Elsa e o Rui foram super simpáticos, prestáveis, e flexíveis. O espaço é super agradável e o ambiente calmo, perfeito para um fim de semana fora da cidade, muito bem equipado com tudo o que é necessário. É de sublinhar a boa recepção dos hóspedes, que tem acesso a um pequeno guia com recomendações, artigos de higiene e lembranças. O espaço também dispõe de ar condicionado e wifi. Agradecemos também a flexibilidade no check out que a Elsa e o Rui nos proporcionaram.
