Characteristic and charming accommodation located in Sasso Barisano, very central near Piazza Vittorio Veneto, equipped with all the services. The accommodation is composed of courtyard in front and characteristic hypogeum, very close to the most beautiful monuments of the city including the Romanesque church of San Giovanni Battista in Piazza San Giovanni. Nearby there are also all the services including market, characteristic fruit and fish market, bakeries, typical shops, restaurants, pizzerias and tourist point.

It is located in a pedestrian area, so it is not accessible by car, but there is a convenient paid parking lot a 2-minute walk away and free parking along the road a little further away. Access to the apartments is on a comfortable ground floor but the view from the balcony of apartment number 1 is on a high floor (magic of the Sassi of Matera!)

This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !
