Enjoy peace and quiet, lambs and calves in the spring, birds singing and a sweeping view of the Frisian landscape, even from the bathtub. The holiday park also offers various facilities, and there is a meadow with some woodland and a small lake, which is also a habitat for deer. The area is known for its many tea gardens and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea.

Within 15 minutes by bike (available for hire), you can be at Potten Beach or in the bustle of the town, while on your return you will once again enjoy the tranquillity of the Frisian countryside. The perfect combination of vibrancy and relaxation. The detached húske is stylishly and tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort.

The house offers three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. It’s understated elegant interiors have been published in the UK House and Garden and the Residence interior magazines. Guests get to use the grand blue room with velvet clad walls and the souterrain kitchen with wood burning stove. There is a peaceful city garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. In the winter one can enjoy cosy evenings besides the various fireplaces, long dinners in the kitchen or baths in one of the bathrooms.

The beds are made upon arrival and there is plenty of bath and kitchen linen available. There is a possibility to order breakfast, on weekends this is possible during the week

Guesthouse Út fan Hús

The Út fan hús apartment has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment, you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water, where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The city of Sneek is a 15-minute drive, Leeuwarden is a 30-minute drive.

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
