Beach house holiday rentals in Mermaid Beach

Location was great being across from the beach. Our family spent a lot of time on the balcony watching the ocean. This part of the coast was quieter than other parts of the Gold Coast so was perfect for our elderly mother to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean and people walking by. Beach access is directly across the road. The house has a vintage vibe and was very comfortable and roomy for our family group of nine. The outside shower was very welcome after coming back from the beach, although some stepping stones to the driveway would not have gone astray.

what an amazing home we loved this place so close to everything but found it hard to leave the house as it is so amazing Kids had a ball and felt right at home.

Kim’s Airbnb was me and my partners first vacation and it really set the bar high for our future holidays. Before even staying at this Airbnb, Kim was awesome. She was super fast in answering any inquires and gave explicit directions to the place. The Airbnb was beautiful and cozy. My partner even went as far as to say he would live there. It was very tidy and clean on arrival, had all the necessary bits and bobs and was very private and secluded from the main house. This was by far one of the best vacations I’ve been on. Me and my partner will 100% be coming back. 10/10! Definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay at Debbie’s house! The location is excellent - literally a one minute walk to the beach/cafes through the side gate of the house leading to a small pathway, lots of space & multiple living areas, fans and air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Debbie was communicative & helpful at every step of the stay. Everyone who stayed with us this weekend has said they’d love to return again one day. Thanks for having us, Debbie & co! 🌴🌞

Beautiful home set across from Budds Beach. Lots of space in the living room and dining areas. The house itself is large with well appointed rooms. Kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and crockery. The pool was great and was used a lot by my kids. No issues with parking and being next to Brumbles cafe was an added bonus. Would absolutely stay again.

The house was very average for the price and I wasn’t thrilled with the bunk bed situation, but the kitchen and common space was great with a fantastic view and walk right out to the beach! That part made up for the bedrooms. The showers were also great! It rained the whole time but pushing open the sliding doors and looking out to that view was so peaceful. Kelly was a wonderful host!

A fantastic place to stay and made for a really relaxing weekend! You’re only a few steps away from the beach and a short walk to local cafes and restaurants. Camille is very responsive and was fantastic at communicating throughout the entire booking process and stay. I would definitely stay here again :)

Great place to stay, quiet location, walking distance to the beach. Cleve sent clear instructions prior to arrival which made check in super easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!! Margo and Steve’s home is beyond beautiful. It’s such a magical location—close enough to the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay but also completely removed on its own little slice of paradise (incredible beach 5 minutes walk!). The home is just as advertised, but you still can’t imagine it until you’re there. The upstairs outdoors area is stunning. Tragically we had loads of rain during our stay so we didn’t make as much use of it or the pool (which looked dreamy). We ended up mostly dining out (highly recommend Taverna down in Kingscliffe!) so we didn’t end up using the extraordinary kitchen much, but it had EVERYTHING you could imagine. Margo and Steve were very easy to work with and communication couldn’t have been better. They were helpful, quick to respond, and full of local information. They even left us a little welcome cheese and crackers and bottle of bubbly. In a nutshell, if you can stay here, DO. You won’t regret it.

Absolutely beautiful house. Everything you will ever need and more supplied. We had a beautiful weekend. Well positioned and close to all facilities. A great space for our group of 8.

What a great place to stay in during a natural disaster !!! We were in one of few homes to not lose power during the cyclone. The home was very protected and safe and neighbours friendly when we did venture out. Joy was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay and we were given all that we needed. Fabulous home for our two little dogs, they were safe and happy to play in the garden when it wasn't raining. Would definitely stay again , thanks Joy and Henry for your fabulous hospitality. We really appreciated everything you did for us.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Palm Beach. Joanna’s place was perfect for our family of four. The townhouse is quite spacious, had all the facilities and comfort that we needed, which was particularly appreciated given that it rained quite a bit. Conveniently located, there was plenty to visit over the four days we were there.

Maria ! You were an amazing host and very attentive to any issues we had our end ! Always very quick to respond to us even out of hours when we set off an alarm . We absolutely loved our stay in your house and the area and beach topped it off ! Our family of 4 and one dog had a lovely stay at this wonderful beach house over the New Year period. Lots of room, great location on the beach, very secure and a bonus to have a fence to keep the pup safe. We highly recommend this house. Eliska was super helpful and very responsive

The location is excellent and view is breathtaking. The pictures don’t do it justice you are right on the beach and have this view all day long from the large kitchen/living/dining with these epic stacker doors which we kept open the whole time we were home with the ocean breeze rolling in. We hired bikes from Gold Cost Bike hire to compliment the bike that comes with the house and it’s a flat 10min ride on the beachfront path into Tugan Market for supplies or go the other way and it’s a flat 15min ride into Coolangatta’s restaurants and bars. Patrolled beach out the front. Epic den downstairs with big comfortable lounge with huge TV and soundbar to chill and watch movies if it’s raining outsides. We splurged on this one and we are so glad we did it may be the best holiday we’ve had with our kids to date. We used the surfboard and body boards, beach chairs and beach Cabana every day, then BBQd every night on the Webber Q and watched the sunset. Do yourself and favour and do it.

We have stayed at Astrid’s air bnb twice now and absolutely love it! It’s in a great location and it is so nice to be able to take our 2 dogs with us! Astrid is so helpful and easy to communicate and book with! We will definitely be staying again!
