In the cottage you live basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, just landscaped food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, chickens, running, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Het Gouden Eiland is located in the annex of a beautiful city villa on the outskirts of the historic village center of Parkstad Veendam. This neighborhood is known as Het Gouden Eiland, a villa neighborhood with houses built in the period 1910-1930. Het Gouden Eiland is in a quiet leafy neighborhood with tall oak trees and wide streets. The apartment has a private entrance, patio with seating, kitchen, shower with toilet, king-size bed (2x 90/210) and is luxuriously finished.

Berend Bedje in Zuidlaren

Berend Bedje is a cosy, detached B&B in Zuidlaren, a great place to completely unwind – after a walk, bike ride, a relaxing weekend, a visit or even a whole week. The cottage (34 m²) is attractively furnished and suitable for 2–4 people (sofa bed). Walk the Pieterpad in 9 minutes or explore De Drentsche Aa National Park. The centre of Groningen can be reached within 20 minutes. Breakfast can be booked for €17.50 p.p. Welcome!

Spend the night in a salon car between the horses.

This cozy saloon car is in the yard between the horses, chickens and geese. Enjoy the simplicity of this nice place with a fireplace, your own kitchen, box bed and 'outdoor' shower and toilet (see photos). The car can be heated by a pellet stove and equipped with all comforts for a restful stay. A made bed, clean towels, kitchen linen and final cleaning are included in the price.
