Holiday rentals with beach access in Middlesex County

Everything was as advertised! Katie was very easy to communicate with and gave great instructions. Everything was very clean and it was in a nice neighborhood. The only downside we had was that the beds weren’t the most comfortable — but they weren’t terrible! Overall great stay!

Great place in South Boston! Walkable to Carson Beach and great restaurants on Broadway. This place had everything we needed for a comfortable 3 day stay. It was just as described. Parking is as described in the listing, but there are plenty of lots and garages that are convenient. I would recommend Shelby's place to anyone visiting Boston!

Nice place to stay near the lake, and with a few other amenities that families will appreciate (trampoline, basketball area, etc).

Everything was great in the apartment. I highly recommend it. Just a few walks from a train that will take you to Boston center in 20 minutes.

This was my second visit to Kathleen's beautiful apartment which is located in a walkable South Boston neighborhood. The apartment is very clean, everything works, it's equipped with everything you could need for a short stay, and has lots of thoughtful extras. Kathleen is very responsive, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

A great stay in a great location. Apartment was very lovely and spacious and in a beautiful neighborhood. The heated mattress pad was amazing! Mikkie was very knowledgeable, kind, and generous. We took the subway to Boston one day and a beautiful walk around Mystic River and lakes and Sandy Beach. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Our family (of 6) had an AWESOME time in Boston, and our stay was excellent. The house was great and had everything we needed. It is walkable to a few restaurants, most notably Tatte (you should absolutely try that place, breakfast or lunch). Steve was not only communicative but also super helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. The easy, no-hassle checkout was the cherry on top. Thanks Steve!!

I thought this house was great, felt right at home and really allowed my family and I to enjoy the living room areas! I appreciated the responsiveness of the owner and I loved the tray of soaps and toothbrushes, felt just like a hotel!

My two adult children and I stayed here with our two dogs while my wife was having surgery in Boston. The location was great. Car ride to the Longwood medical area was about 25 minutes. The neighborhood consists of single family homes on small lots, not at all fancy but entirely safe as far as we could tell. We were just a few short blocks from a school playing field where leashed dogs were welcome, and other dog-walkers were often on the street in the morning and evening. The house is a bit quirky. There is no seating in the kitchen, but the dining area is very spacious although located down a short hallway from the kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms was more than ample and very quiet at night. We slept well. As we stayed more than a week we were grateful that laundry facilities were present in the basement. Roosevelt was an excellent host and quick to respond to my requests. I would definitely stay in his place again should a similar situation arise.

The property was stunning and impeccably clean, matching the description perfectly. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the convenient location with a trail to see horses and access to the lake. The host was incredibly accommodating, and we are looking forward to returning with our family. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide garage access to the house for elderly guests who may have difficulty with stairs, as the pathway, although beautiful, was quite lengthy for my elderly parents. Nonetheless, we all had a fantastic time. Thank you.

I was thrilled to discover Phyllis' place for my elderly parents-it is right across the street from me, making our time together more convenient! Her place is lovely and my parents report it was quiet and comfortable. My mom is raving about the mattress in the primary bedroom. I want to address what one reviewer mentioned: that this place is not conveniently located and/or walkable. I found that to be hilarious. I walk EVERYWHERE and live directly across the street from this location. Not only does public transportation (buses) stop in front of this location and directly across the street, but it would take an able-bodied individual no more than 10-15 minutes to reach all of the wonderful shops and restaurants along Centre and South Streets. You are also across the street from the glorious Arboretum. One could have an amazing vacation and never leave this neighborhood. We are thrilled to discover Phyllis's place and definitely plan to use it again for other guests!

If you're looking for serenity in a GORGEOUS atmosphere, do yourself a favor and stay here. The pond (it's a lake IMO, but it's technically a pond on Google Maps) is BEAUTIFUL. The available petal boat, canoes and other water craft are a wonderful amenity to have there. Sitting on the dock, enjoying the ducks swim and fly by was the highlight of my morning. The property is WELL hidden in the woods. It's on a steep-ish slope, so if you think it's not there, just keep driving down the hill. :) This house included EVERYTHING that we needed. We just brought clothes and food. I suggest ordering at the Walmart in West Boylston and picking up groceries on your way in. We didn't get to eat/shop at the ice cream/market nearby, but it looked super cute. There are also a few other markets nearby that sold all sorts of yummy, local harvests. My son LOVED the inside swing; there are about fiddy-'leven board games; and the wooden blocks, LEGO and kids books were a very welcome addition. A GEM!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location is beautiful. The house is spacious and comfortable with gorgeous views of the lake from almost all the living spaces. Our hosts were so helpful with information and went above and beyond to help us have a great Easter celebration with our family. We even had perfect weather everyday which allowed us to enjoy the huge deck overlooking the lake. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Stayed at Shannon’s apartment for the entire month of December to help our daughter and son-in-law after the birth of their first child and of our first grand child. A special Christmas! The apartment was great! Conveniently located to our family and within walking distance to several fun restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. Shannon was a wonderful, responsive host. Beds were super comfortable and the dedicated work area was incredibly helpful to work remotely. Will look forward to future stays!

Great little spot! Small apartment and bathroom but was perfect for me! Very safe and walkable neighborhood. I walked to Broadway (4ish blocks away) a few times where several bars and shops were. I had pizza and baked ziti from the Alfredo’s across the street - happy with both! It’s next to a main road but it made getting an uber very easy and it was not too loud. I would stay here again for sure!!

I recently stayed at this Airbnb in the South Boston area with a group of four, and we had a great experience! The home was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was very welcoming—he greeted us upon arrival and took the time to go over the basic house rules and what to expect, which we really appreciated. The location was super convenient—just a 7–10 minute train ride to downtown Boston. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Boston!

Responsive host. Easy access. About 100 yards from the T Orange line. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.

Excellent hosts! Very responsive with the few questions I had. Went above and beyond to answer them and very quick with replies. Would definitely recommend to stay here to anyone. Excellent locations to restaurants and bars. Very walkable. Bus route steps from the front door. Super clean and beautiful place.

We stayed at Veronica’s place for the marathon and it was absolutely perfect! Super clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. It’s a little bit out of the way of the main downtown area, but we preferred that for some quiet and nothing was more than a 15 minute uber away. Veronica made marathon weekend so special for me as a runner, which really made us feel at home in her space! She had tons of great food and drinks recommendations around the Airbnb that we used throughout our stay and was super responsive throughout.

Great apartment, clean, as presented in all photos. Super great location. Close to Maverick metro station. Walking distance from our daily activities, making it feel like a home for our visit :)
