Great weekend at Luis's house. The house has everything you need and was immaculately clean, I am allergic to dust and for me the cleanliness is very important. It is in a very nice and quiet area, surrounded by trees and a few minutes drive from A Pobra do Caramiñal. But the best thing is undoubtedly the garden, big, beautiful, full of trees and shade and completely fenced, if you go with dogs, children or both, it could not be better. If we return to the area, we will definitely come back to Luis's place.

As the hosts said, when you think “there’s no way it could be here,” that’s exactly where it is. After parking, a short walk through a quiet village with old stone ruins brings you to the lake—and suddenly, there it is: a house that feels both part of nature and a world apart. Self check-in was seamless, with wonderful communication from Carmen throughout. She even sent us sunny photos the morning we were arriving. We stayed with our three dogs and they were in heaven—lounging on the patio, mesmerized by the shimmering lake and the occasional fish jumping out of the water. Stone walls, panoramic windows, very rustic and romantic. The bathrooms are small but carved from stone and full of character—like bathing in a secret cave. The second day - power down in Spain. Carmen was trying to get in touch with us whenever we had a bit of connection, and at one point we lost any coverage so Carmen went above and beyond, getting us lanterns and mini stove. Awesome!! Isabel is such an amazing host who is rather helpful and kind, we had a very good time staying there. The flat is very well designed with stunning river view.

My family had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed exploring Gaia and loved the view of Porto! Isa and Hugo were very quick to respond to our questions and helped with any problems we had. They were easy to communicate with and very kind. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We will remember our stay fondly!

They give you all the possible facilities and the place is just as seen in the photos. Highly recommended and if we return to the area we will go there again

My wife and I live in Europe, are from the US and we have stayed over 95 Airbnbs around the world. This apartment is on the absolute best location. The best. The views are ideal. The host is responsive & professional. The proximity of the parking lot, to the apartment - is as good as it gets. Upon initial entry there was a bit of a challenge with the computerized entry system, but I think that was due to them letting me in an hour early. They resolved it very quickly. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It also had very large bath towels. I definitely recommend it

In our stay everything went very well. Marta was always attentive to any need on our part. The house matches the description. The location allows you to opt for a relaxing and quiet stay in a place surrounded by nature, or move easily to one of the many large cities that surround you! Marta, thank you for all availability!

It is delighted that Sonia had tried her best to make our early check-in become possible. She welcomed us directly with a brief introduction of the accommodation. The house is clean and comfortable to all of us. Sónia’s place, located in Vila Nova da Gaia is a convenient location good to everywhere esp. it is walking distance to nearby sight-seeing place such as Jardim do Morro Hilltop park, Dom Luís I Bridge and Ribeira neighborhood etc. Fantastic views in both day and night could be viewed from both inside and outside of the house. Overall, good stay and will re-book Sonia’s house in the next time. Vincent

I was extremely impressed with the host friendliness as well as the apartment itself, great location, easy walk from and to restaurants, bars, coffee shops as well as the historical part of the city (castle and villa). The apartment was super clean and organized with all the amenities that a person might need. Amazing view from the windows and balcony, lots of natural light all day. I will recommend and look forward to be back to this amazing city and stay with the most friendly host Sr. Jorge.

This little house has stolen our hearts! I went with some friends for a few days to disconnect and start the year with another vibe, and we couldn't have done better. Everything was perfect, from that little peaceful village to that little house in the middle of the mountain. No detail was missing and both Curra and Noelia were attentive to making sure everything was right. We'll be back for sure 😊

Perfect house, excellent location

Rui, your host, was brilliant and as effervescent as a freshly poured flute of fine French champagne - so much so that one almost needs to lie down and rest after having a chat. He loves his tree house and is extremely proud of his construction. One of the nights of our stay they had the fiercest storm in nearly 20 years - 100 kph winds, slashing rain and intense lighting and thunder yet in the morning both we and the tree house was still in the tree - can't say much about sleep but what an experience. It is, indeed, a magical experience. If you are coming by rental car, and a stickler for detail, be aware that you must drive over gravel roads for a few kms, which for most rental cars is not covered in the contract but if you drive in a mature and rationale matter who will ever know. Like how many people can say that they actually resided in a tree house. Just do it.

Had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! The place was beautiful and spotless. The host was incredible: always available and eager to help with recommendations for activities, restaurants, and anything else we needed. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Cozy little cottage with very quiet idyllic location.

Gui has two houses for rent, in a nice, quiet, rural environment close to beautiful Ponte-de-Lima. She is very friendy and extremely helpful.

Anyone who loves free and independent travel to a wide variety of places and in a wide variety of accommodations via Airbnb and Portugal as well, absolutely must have stayed in Julio's old watermill. We traveled the area between Lisbon and Porto and spent four nights with Julio and enjoyed it very much. We were delighted by Julio's friendliness, the tranquility and nature surrounding the mill, day trips in the area or just lingering in the beautifully landscaped and very well-kept garden.

Hum... what can I say... I think the best is you experience by yourself. This place is amazing!! THE place to go if you like to be in a peaceful, stress free, beautiful and remarkable Airbnb in Douro. Don't think twice, just go.
