We had a lovely stay! The most communicative hosts and they went above and beyond with instructions, information, and local recommendations.

Fuimos a pasar la noche de fin de año porque buscábamos una casita para estar tranquilos y que nuestro perro pudiese disfrutar y desde luego fue un súper acierto reservar esta casa 🙌 Todo estaba genial, y la casa es súper bonita. Tiene una zona de jardín espectacular ❤️‍🔥 Y sin duda si vas con perrera, será quien más la disfrute 🤩 Además nos dieron bastante flexibilidad con la hora de salida dado el día que era 😂🍾 Repetiremos !!!

Estupendo fin de semana en casa de Luis. La casa tiene todo lo necesario y estaba impecablemente limpia, soy alérgica al polvo y para mí la limpieza es muy importante. Está en una zona muy bonita y tranquila, rodeada de árboles y a unos minutos en coche de A Pobra do Caramiñal. Pero lo mejor sin duda es el jardín, grande, bonito, lleno de árboles y sombra y completamente vallado, si vais con perros, niños o ambos, no podría ser mejor. Si volvemos por la zona sin duda vendremos de nuevo a casa de Luis.

As the hosts said, when you think “there’s no way it could be here,” that’s exactly where it is. After parking, a short walk through a quiet village with old stone ruins brings you to the lake—and suddenly, there it is: a house that feels both part of nature and a world apart. Self check-in was seamless, with wonderful communication from Carmen throughout. She even sent us sunny photos the morning we were arriving. We stayed with our three dogs and they were in heaven—lounging on the patio, mesmerized by the shimmering lake and the occasional fish jumping out of the water. Stone walls, panoramic windows, very rustic and romantic. The bathrooms are small but carved from stone and full of character—like bathing in a secret cave. The second day - power down in Spain. Carmen was trying to get in touch with us whenever we had a bit of connection, and at one point we lost any coverage so Carmen went above and beyond, getting us lanterns and mini stove. Awesome!! Senti-me em casa, Sr. Fernando é uma pessoa muito afável e disponível.

Isabel aime sa ville, et elle vous le transmet. Elle nous a donné de nombreuses recommandations et propositions fort utiles. Après avoir discuté avec elle, elle est allé chercher des adresses correspondantes aux envies que nous avions. Isabel est une hôte en or, et son logement, notamment avec la vue sur le Douro, est particulièrement agréable et plutôt calme, collé au centre historique.

My family had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed exploring Gaia and loved the view of Porto! Isa and Hugo were very quick to respond to our questions and helped with any problems we had. They were easy to communicate with and very kind. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We will remember our stay fondly!

My wife and I live in Europe, are from the US and we have stayed over 95 Airbnbs around the world. This apartment is on the absolute best location. The best. The views are ideal. The host is responsive & professional. The proximity of the parking lot, to the apartment - is as good as it gets. Upon initial entry there was a bit of a challenge with the computerized entry system, but I think that was due to them letting me in an hour early. They resolved it very quickly. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It also had very large bath towels. I definitely recommend it

Na nossa estadia correu tudo muito bem. A Marta esteve sempre atenta a qualquer necessidade da nossa parte. A casa corresponde com a descrição. A localização permite optar por uma estadia relaxante e tranquila num local rodeado pela natureza, ou deslocarmo-nos facilmente para uma das várias grandes cidades que circundam! Marta, obrigado por toda a disponibilidade!

It is delighted that Sonia had tried her best to make our early check-in become possible. She welcomed us directly with a brief introduction of the accommodation. The house is clean and comfortable to all of us. Sónia’s place, located in Vila Nova da Gaia is a convenient location good to everywhere esp. it is walking distance to nearby sight-seeing place such as Jardim do Morro Hilltop park, Dom Luís I Bridge and Ribeira neighborhood etc. Fantastic views in both day and night could be viewed from both inside and outside of the house. Overall, good stay and will re-book Sonia’s house in the next time. Vincent

I was extremely impressed with the host friendliness as well as the apartment itself, great location, easy walk from and to restaurants, bars, coffee shops as well as the historical part of the city (castle and villa). The apartment was super clean and organized with all the amenities that a person might need. Amazing view from the windows and balcony, lots of natural light all day. I will recommend and look forward to be back to this amazing city and stay with the most friendly host Sr. Jorge.

Piso en muy buenas condiciones, bastante acogedor y ordenado. La limpieza es otro aspecto a felicitar, muy contento con la estancia.

Esta casita nos ha robado el corazón! Me fui unos días con unas amigas a desconectar y empezar el año con otra vibra, y no pudimos acertar más. Todo era perfecto, desde ese pueblecito lleno de paz hasta esa casita en medio del monte. No faltaba detalle y tanto Curra como Noelia estuvieron pendientes de que todo estuviera correcto. Repetiremos seguro 😊

Ganz besonderer Ort direkt am Douro. Wunderschöne Terrasse mit Pool, Liegen und Garten mit Obstbäumen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Rui, your host, was brilliant and as effervescent as a freshly poured flute of fine French champagne - so much so that one almost needs to lie down and rest after having a chat. He loves his tree house and is extremely proud of his construction. One of the nights of our stay they had the fiercest storm in nearly 20 years - 100 kph winds, slashing rain and intense lighting and thunder yet in the morning both we and the tree house was still in the tree - can't say much about sleep but what an experience. It is, indeed, a magical experience. If you are coming by rental car, and a stickler for detail, be aware that you must drive over gravel roads for a few kms, which for most rental cars is not covered in the contract but if you drive in a mature and rationale matter who will ever know. Like how many people can say that they actually resided in a tree house. Just do it.

La casa de Chus para nosotros es perfecta, la parte de la casa acristalada, una sola planta y con mucho terreno para correr. Ha hecho de nuestra estancia un lugar muy cómodo que viajamos con cuatro niños el más pequeño con un año. Los baños relucientes, nuevos, la estructura de la casa es curiosa y divertida para los niños. La cocina de la casa bien equipada. Ropa de la casa muy bien. Agradecemos que no haya muchas cosas de decoración para no sufrir con roturas. Aún así es una casa acogedora. Chus siempre estaba pendiente de nuestros mensajes respondiendo de manera superagradable a nuestras dudas.

Gui has two houses for rent, in a nice, quiet, rural environment close to beautiful Ponte-de-Lima. She is very friendy and extremely helpful.

Wer das freie und unabhängige Reisen an den unterschiedlichsten Orten und in verschiedensten Unterbringungen über airbnb liebt und Portugal ebenfalls, der muss unbedingt in der alten Wassermühle von Julio gewesen sein. Wir haben haben die Gegend zwischen Lissabon und Porto bereist und vier Nächte bei Julio verbracht und es sehr genossen. Die Freundlichkeit von Julio, die Ruhe und die Natur rund um die Mühle, Tagestouren in der Gegend oder nur das Verweilen in dem wunderschön angelegten und sehr gepflegten Garten haben uns begeistert.
