We renovated a two-story storehouse built in the Edo period and made it into a guest house. Although it is not spacious, a kitchen with an IH cooking heater is installed on the first floor, while maintaining the atmosphere of a storehouse with its earthen walls and thick beams. The first and second floors are equipped with air conditioning for a comfortable stay. You can experience the sound insulation, summer coolness, and winter warmth unique to a storehouse. If you like, you can enjoy coffee made with freshly ground beans. Sister-gawa Onsen and Ibuki Yakuza-Yu are about 15 minutes away by car. We can provide you with a ticket for Sankawa Onsen (cheaper than the regular price). Please contact us about pick-up and drop-off. There are many tourist spots unique to Nagahama, which has often been the stage of history. Hikone Castle, a National Treasure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Nagahama Castle, the birthplace of Ishida Mitsunari, one of Japan's leading mountain castles, Otaki, the site of the battle, and others. It is also less than 20 minutes by car to the Sekigahara Battlefield. In addition to the area around Lake Biwa, there are plenty of non-historical attractions such as Japan's oldest railway station building, Nagahama Railway Square, the Yanmar Museum where children can play, and Kurobane Square. You can also enjoy gourmet food such as Omi beef, duck cuisine, grilled mackerel somen, noodles, salad bread, duck, and small ayu.

There are also many chain restaurants such as yakiniku and conveyor belt sushi, as well as eel shops and delicious restaurants that can be lined up. We have free rental bicycles, so you can go to many shops. Sorry, there are no children's bikes for children 9 years old and younger. This is a condominium-type accommodation that can accommodate up to 4 people. The first floor is exclusively for guests. The room is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioner, washing machine, fridge, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, microwave, electric kettle, pots, frying pans, and almost everything you need for your daily life. This house is a tiny house designed by us discovering how much space is truly needed for a minimalist lifestyle. And also this is a detached house, your privacy is completely protected so you won’t be disturbing the neighbors even if you make a little noise.
