Lovely place with an incredible patio view. Having a home cooked breakfast was very nice and the food was great. The winds are very strong and loud so if you are a sensitive sleeper it may keep you up all night. I would recommend ear plugs.

What an amazing experience at GAR! The rescue and the surrounding area are truly beautiful and it's cooler than the beaches! Luis, Mailyn, Ronald and Jose take such great care of the animals and property! There's so much to do: horse back riding, ATVs, hikes, and interacting with the animals that are clearly happy to be there. The sunsets seen from the rescue are truly spectacular. Just a short drive from the property are hot springs, waterfalls, rain forests, sloth viewing tours, and a national park with amazing hikes and views. The small town of Guayabo offers groceries, a great restaurants and even a swim up bar! For offsite activities we recommend a local tour guide, Dediere Cascante! He speaks English quite well and is one friendly and knowledgeable local, long attached to GAR. The villas are clean, spacious, and well appointed. Do not hesitate to book some time at GAR -it will forever be in our hearts! We even managed to adopt one of the puppies and bring her home!

Very nice propuity . met the expectation

Gaetan was lovely, despite the rain, unsafe conditions and rincon being closed. He helped us get in and out safely and provided us peace of mind staying there for the night. The cabin was really cute and quaint. Everything you need, no frills and homey. Please bear in mind the road up can be a bit dicey, but we were driving in the rain with a 2x4. This place would be awesome to explore Rincon, will definitely come back when it is open!
