The ranch has hiking trails, plenty of wildlife, alpacas, goats, and chickens! After a day of exploring the outdoors, cozy up in the historic home that has been completely renovated with modern amenities. Conveniently located between the picturesque towns of Buena Vista and Salida, we chose this piece of paradise for the same reasons we think you'll fall in love with it!

The Historic Ranch House

We have intentionally tried to preserve as much of the ranch house as possible while still updating the house to today’s standards. The most notable piece of history is the Monarch cook stove in the kitchen, the doorways and doors that are not as tall as today’s standards, the original wood floor in the master bedroom and original moulding around some of the doors. The house is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house with all the amenities from home. We hope you enjoy our little piece of ranch history!

We built it in 2014 on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views; its only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. We have a big garden, and chickens and ducks (fresh eggs in season!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk!
