Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Monona

A comfortable stay in a great neighborhood of charming older homes with an amazing view of the lake. Since we were there in the colder season, we were not able to enjoy the lake access and water activities. our host Douglas was very responsive and had detailed helpful instructions.

The house was very spacious for our family of 6. We loved the location, view, and short drive to everything we wanted to do.

The house has old world farm-house charm and good vibes. The layout provides a number of rooms to hang out in so that folks can have privacy. The back yard is like an Andrew Wheth painting, with a few weathered back buildings and a cornfield. While it is sandwiched between a few houses, some businesses, and on a busy road, it always felt private. Bring a small fan to provide white noise to override some of the traffic noise, which was mostly in the morning.

We travel a lot and this is one of the best Air BnB's we've ever stayed at. This house is equipped with literally everything. It is very clean and well kept. There are thoughtful touches like soft sheets, nice bath products, blackout shades, games, and local recommendations. On top of that (and much more) there are also surprise luxury touches like heated toilet seats and floors. This house is so comfortable and feel like home. It is very close to Main Street, where we enjoyed going to a few different bars and restaurants. This would be the perfect place for a large family, several couples, or a group of friends.

This was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and the views of the lake were amazing! Everything was very clean and comfortable as well. We’d definitely stay here again!

What a lovely place! It’s a quiet neighborhood, but right next to the commuter path. Nice vibe and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues.

Rachel's place as an amazing stay. She was extremely responsive from the get-go and was flexible with our check-in time as we wanted to get in a bit earlier to celebrate the long weekend. It's really hard to find a home that is pet friendly and accomadates two large dogs but Rachel was extremely flexible and we had zero issues with bringing our big boys. We have four younger children and layout of the house was perfect. Many times we've stayed places where we are further away from the kids room which makes it hard to sleep easy. Not here. Set up like a home so security was not an issue especially that close to the water. Great area, extremely clean, felt like home walking in. No worries about bringing anything gross home with us. Will be a perfect spot in the summer due to its location and the dock. We will be bringing our friends back for sure! Thank you Rachel for a wonderful experience!

Joen and her husband were spectacular hosts! Stayed with my husband and 2 young children while I had a nearby work conference. The place was just as listed with all amenities we needed. The pool was great for the kids while I was away during the day. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to live for 3 days!

Jane responded fast to text messages. very kind, offered to tell about restaurants and local entertainment. I had an issue with the door ( operator error ) called Jane and she called me back to see if i was able to fix the issue, which was a simple fix. I will definitely make sure I reserve there again when I go back into town if available.

We just completed an amazing getaway here at Lisa’s place. The pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. Everything is even better than presented. The kitchen is phenomenal - with every appliance, cook/bake/serveware you can imagine, and a perfect focal place for gatherings. Each room is cozy and homey - and there are so many hidden gems! The bedrooms were elegant yet amazingly comfortable for resting. And the location is super easy to access Madison while offering quiet & peace for morning & evening walks (added bonus if you bring your pup!). Finally and maybe best of all, Lisa is a perfect host!! Immediately responsive, really helpful with questions, and she offered terrific recommendations that we took up & thoroughly enjoyed. We all loved everything about our stay & plan to come back!

This was such a a lovely stay! we originally rented to host a holiday dinner, but we're surprised with the oberaltease of the stay and the walkable location. The apartment easily accommodated four people for dinner and an evening in, while also being the perfect location for walkable restaurants and things to do. The apartment overall was such a lovely stay! Hosts were responsive to any questions, and it was everything we were looking for. Would definitely stay here again!

Jordyn's hospitality was unmatched! She was always pleasant to communicate with prior to our stay, once we arrived she never skipped a beat showing us the property and checked in with a message the next morning to see if everything went well the first night and asking if we needed anything. She went above and beyond when I asked if she had a 9x13 pan for cooking breakfast, she didn't, but she went and bought one right away so i didn't have to bring it from home. The property was cute and cozy, we highly recommend Jordyn and her property. An amazing experience. Thank you so much.

The location was quiet with easy access. The pool table was a plus. the beds were fine. Temperature control is an issue but the hosts were responsive. They are right upstairs and are early risers - o problem for us as we are as well. The kitchen is really a wet bar with no stove ore stove top. i understand this but would have loved more cooking options.

We really enjoyed our stay at Melussa's chalet. The proximity to the Sugar River Trail allowed us to walk to restaurants, stores, coffee shops & bakeries. It's location is just a short drive from Monroe, Verona and Madison. The chalet was very clean & met all of our needs. The basket of snacks and coffee was a nice welcome. We look forward to our next stay at the chalet!

We loved our stay in this beautiful, meticulously restored farmhouse. The interior is spacious. The beds are comfortable. Everything was in great working order. Fred and Dominique pay attention to detail! There are so many interesting features and delightful elements to this house. We enjoyed the proximity to the Glacial River Trail, and we highly recommend the Dorothy Carnes County Park for visitors who like to hike or bike. We definitely would stay again!

Wanted to Stay Longer! We loved everything about this beautiful house. Beautiful decor, lovely lighting, gas fireplace, and sooooooo clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We stayed here on our drive back home to Montana after road-tripping to Indiana to adopt our dog. Dog & kids loved the spacious, fenced-in backyard. Stay here if you can. You will not want to leave.

This little cabin was the perfect spot for a weekend disconnect! It’s cozy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. There’s a grill and a fire pit on-site, but just a heads up, you’ll need to bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. Jenah was super responsive though, and pointed us toward a 24/7 Kwik Trip nearby that had everything we needed. The kitchen is also surprisingly well-stocked with utensils and a wide variety of spices. We had such a great time and would absolutely love to come back!
