Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Montalegre

The house met our expectations, super cozy and with an incredible view and location, for those looking for a few days of tranquility, I strongly advise. We had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Fábio (owner) and with D.Rosa (person responsible for the house), and both were super attentive, we were able to check in later in the morning and check out later than expected. We'll be back soon.

host responsive . great location , freindly neighborhood and neighbors. they gave us fresh bread , milk , nesquilk, cafee , tea , cheese , ham and fresh fruits every 2 days . . had a bbq fire wood fire started . everything we need also a nice big back yard for the dogs to run freely 😁. couldnt ask for anything more and realy apreciated the basket of food . thank you very much ! would definitely recommend this location .

Although we were not lucky with time, the stay was memorable and we thought we would go back. Beautiful house with excellent sights, very well framed. Very comfortable with excellent heating. We can easily find a place for lunch and dinner as kings.

The house is very comfortable and Catarina is very helpful and friendly. The village is very quiet, in the middle of the mountains and the neighbors a friendliness. The river beach that Catarina indicates is well worth it.

The house is great, the view is beautiful. very quiet. We were 2 families staying together. The house was big and well equiped. Comunication with the host was very good and easy.

José is an outstanding host, welcoming, helpful and very kind. the apartment is very well arranged, comfortable and with all the amenities you need to have a good holiday. The bedding is extremely comfortable which is nice after long days of hiking. the large terrace is a big plus. thank you José for offering such a comfortable place

Very nice place to spend a few days with the family. Highly recommended for those with young children. The house was spotless and the outdoor garden is great for spending some quality time. Mr. Vitor was very friendly and always very quick to respond. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and fast. He gave several suggestions of places to go for lunch/dinner or shopping. The house is located in a very nice village and relatively close to other towns/big cities with a lot to do. I recommend it 100% for anyone planning to stay in this area.

Great stay, very good for those who want to rest and enjoy nature, the space was clean and organized, Julia was super friendly and received us super well, I will definitely come back more times!

The apartment is huge! Very good location too, in addition to the host being asked to explain the parking options. I recommend it.

Casa do Engenho is amazing. So far, the best place my family and I have rented for a 10-day stay. Near Braga, easy to find, beautiful surroundings, quiet and comfortable. We definitely recommend staying. Monica is a great hostess, friendly and always there for you!

We love staying in this residence, even with high time we can make the most of it, full kitchen, duvet towels and all clean sheets… Impeccable house we adore and will return again… City Hall has everything in the kitchen that a house needs and except magic wand and a blender that we missed. In the more there is kettle coffee machine, microwave grill everything, excellent stove and ovens, bathrooms and an amazing shower. We only lacked an air-conditioner but did not change at all the good lodging thank you !

The house is large and extremely clean , comfortable rooms with good bedding, very well-equipped kitchens. The garden is very pleasant and well maintained. We did not enjoy the barbecue area, but the space looked great. The location is ideal in a quiet residential area, but Braga is really not far away, and it's easy to get there quickly. As well as Porto which is about 45 minutes away. Finally, Cidália is very friendly, super responsive and really concerned about the well-being of guests: a great host!

Super view. Great for a relaxing stay with the pool and jacuzzi. Strawberries growing there if you are lucky, we were. :)

This place is wonderful if you’re looking for peace, some time in a pool/the river and don’t mind being a little drive away from amenities. Daniel is an incredibly responsive host and was able to find solutions to two issues that arose for us surprisingly quickly. We cooked in the house every night except for one and had everything we needed for that. There’s a laundry room which is helpful too.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating from start to finish—always available, quick to respond to any questions, and full of great local tips. The house itself is immaculate—spotless, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located in a peaceful rural setting. It was the ideal place to relax, especially with the hot tub which was spotless and ready to use on arrival. Plenty of great coastal spots within easy driving distance too. Couldn’t recommend it more highly—perfect for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, and well-looked-after getaway.
