Beachfront holiday rentals in Monterey County

The location of the apartment is awesome. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and excellent view of the beach and ocean. Sleeping with the sound of the ocean waves was such a gift. Patti is lovely and kind with her communications. We did have some issues with the shower and bath sink in one of the bathrooms. We also wished we had paid attention to what was not listed in terms of provisions. For example, you’d have to bring your own coffee, teas, paper towels, and bathroom hand soaps (although napkins and bath soap bars were provided). Overall, a beautiful home at a great location with potentials for some minor improvements which I understand Patti will address in good spirit.

Great location and space for a weekend getaway! We came up for business and pleasure (2 adults + doggo (huge plus!)). The location is centrally located. We went to Big Sur, Carmel, fisherman’s wharf, and Cannery Row. Cannery Row was a walkable distance (great for a post meal/drink walk) and also far enough away from the hustle and bustle. There is a grocery store conveniently nearby to grab anything you need. The home was tidy and had all that we needed. One bed is upstairs, the other is at the floor level. Both beds are comfy - it was chilly on the first floor but there were blankets in the laundry room that helped. The bathroom was clean and provided enough towels. On a clear day you can see the ocean - the greenery and ocean blue make for a nice view. The home was also easy to get in and out of. Having a parking space is a plus! We brought a 4Runner and it fit up the driveway fine (was kinda tight on a turn but we made it). Host is responsive. Overall, a successful stay!

Very nice and welcoming host, very recommended

This is a great place to stay for kids and adults alike. The view of Monterey Bay doesn't get any better than this place. We had an ocean view, the rooms are new, clean and comfortable, there is a great pool, the hottub could have used a scrub, but there were other amenities that made up for it. The check-in was super easy. The kids got s'mores making kits for the fire pits. Great sushi place nearby (Ichi Riki). We kept our luggage at the hotel while we went to the aquarium. We highly recommend this place for an easy stay.

We had a 3 night stay at Rich's "Brown Barn" - we could have happily stayed longer. Right from the beginning, Rich and Darryl were great hosts. Always replying promptly and being so flexible and accommodating. The "Brown Barn" was a fabulous place to stay for a family. Very spacious, so comfortable and lots to do both within the house and a short walk or drive away. This was a great stay - highly recommended. Many thanks again to Rich and Darryl for being so friendly and helpful and making us feel so welcome.

If you want something away from the downtown area, but with a view and close to point lobos, this is a great option. We had our dog with us for the first time at an Airbnb and it’s definitely dog friendly if you want to bring your pup.

This was a beautiful property. As others noted as well as pictures indicate, there are lots of stairs. We loved getting the workout of the stairs to the beach and climbed them multiple times a day. The house was beautifully decorated and all the appliances new. Everything we needed was in the kitchen.

Such a beautiful space and so easy to get around. Hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming. Parking is easy but tight, so if your car is larger you might want to use the ample street parking. Easy either way.

This home was absolutely beautiful. Right on the water. Everything inside the house was clean stocked with utensils. Had some of the best sleep here. Very peaceful.

This is a special place in a great location; perfect home base for exploring Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey, Capitola, and Santa Cruz!! The grounds are immaculate and the staff onsite offer friendly support. The unit has everything you need in the kitchen and there are lots of sleeping options. GREAT restaurant and bar onsite! But that’s the only place to eat that’s walkable. So we used the BBQ grill for one night, which was clean and in good shape! Enjoyed cooking outside and eating at the private patio table. Hot tub and pool super clean and well kept! Was nice! Come here to relax, recharge, watch sunsets on the beach and adventure around the many beautiful nearby destinations!!

Everything was advertised. This unit had it all. Very comfortable for 2 or 3 couples. The location was spectacular.

Janice’s apartment had gorgeous views and was a short walk to a lovely and walkable beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make easy meals and the whole place was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

My family and I loved Biff's place. The ocean views and sunsets are unreal. Thats really what stole the show. The place is currently for sale, so it seems like this is a way to get people to check out the place and "sell them on it." It's walkability to the beach is fantastic, for its just a few minutes away down an accessible pathway. It's a bit outdated with carpeting and 80's style kitchen and bathrooms, however somehow that made it more cozy and we felt right at home. I 1000% recommend this place and would love to come back.

We stayed at Biff’s place for one week in the beginning of August. As the beach house in the Monterey Dunes Colony is administrated centrally, the communication with the host was kept to a minimum. All the information needed were given in advance online and in a packet at the gate. That was absolutely okay for us. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the colourful sand dunes and the feeling of having a private beach directly in our backyard (10 seconds walking distance). The beach is wide and at no time too busy – ideal for playing with kids. However, there are some restrictions, e.g. flying a kite is forbidden due to the protection of squeakers. This Airbnb is really nice, clean, comfortable and well equipped, however some more tableware and cutlery would have been great. The whole interior design is made with love (e.g. the huge and cute teddy bears in the children’s room), so that everyone can feel like being at home. The view from the living room/one bedroom is stunning.

We had a great stay at Jennifer and John’s home! We really appreciated having kid gear and toys for our toddlers, and loved being able to borrow their stroller for walks along the coast and to the aquarium. The home was very quiet, comfortable and cozy and was a great base to explore Pacific Grove and the greater area. Thanks again for hosting us!!

The condo unit is located in a peaceful quiet setting with access to the beach that is very secluded. The community has a nice walking path. Parking is easy. The Unit is as described with clean towels, bedding and lots of cutlery in the kitchen. We liked the place.

¡Muy buen departamento para hospedarse en Watsonville!. El lugar es muy cómodo y bonito, con todo el equipamiento necesario para pasar una estancia muy cómoda y agradable en familia o amigos. Es tal como se describe en la publicación. A unos 10 minutos en auto del centro de Watsonville. Es una muy buena opción para hospedarse relativamente cerca de Carmel o Monterrey. Soojin fue muy amable y siempre estuvo al pendiente. Recomendamos mucho este alojamiento y sin lugar a dudas volveríamos a hospedarnos ahí.

We had a wonderful stay at Jack's home in Cannery Row! The location is unbeatable—steps away from the vibrant waterfront, restaurants, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The house was clean, cozy, and had enough room for us and our friends. The check-in process was seamless, and Jack was quick to respond and ensured that we had everything for our stat. We loved the location and the views from the balcony. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Monterey!

Great location for someone wanting to explore Carmel and Monterey. Place was very clean and would love to comeback and stay longer.

We had an amazing stay at Howard’s Place! Literally steps from the beach. Howard was very communicative and always responded if we reached out to him. The community is also amazing! We had an issue with the blinds not working and they came the next day and fixed them. They provide wheelbarrows for luggage and have a private pond. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Howard!
