“Our night away was very relaxing thanks to this cozy cabin and great host. They have everything ready for you to explore the area. The only thing was the lack of phone signal and weak wifi but it forced us to disconnect and relax. We will definitely be back and recommend our friends and family to stay here. It was only 45 minutes away from our home in San Diego but it felt like we were in a whole other place.”
Pine valley is a small, quiet town at the base of Laguna Mountains. The perfect getaway after an active day. Great hiking an biking trails near by. You are just 40 minutes to the beaches, San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Balboa Park.
“We feel intense confusion and frustration that anyone would give Doris and Odd anything less than five stars (who are these people?). What an amazing and relaxing break we had from the hustle and bustle. I feel like we could have shown up with a pet tiger and the hosts would not have batted an eye. Our elderly, high maintenance fur baby enjoyed the sprawling sanctuary more than we did. We’ll be back for sure!”

Lion's Den is our most popular & secluded site in the Cleveland National Forest, Burnt Rancheria camp. Site also features a double tree tent & 2 story triple tree tent. 2 Trillium hammocks also included.
“This was an excellent getaway for my family (wife, 6yo, and 4yo) and I. We stayed at the Burnt Rancheria site. The kids had a BLAST exploring all of the different spots in the campsite. We chose this spot because earlier in the summer my spouse broke her wrist and a traditional camping experience was unmanageable. This site was a perfect compromise, as everything was set up. All we had to bring was our personal gear and our food. Shantel and her husband were extremely hospitable and wanted to make sure we had a great experience there. While there was spotty cell phone signal, they would briefly stop by to ask if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!”
