Monthly Rentals in Muncaster Fell

We had a fantastic visit. The property is cosy and very well equipped: nothing lacking in the kitchen for a variety of meals for four. The location is perfect for Scafell and a variety of local walks, as well as the coast. Thanks for leaving us a generous allocation of goodies to get us settled in!

✨ We had a wonderful two-night stay at Rose Cottage in Eskdale. It’s an absolutely charming and cosy cottage, thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need – from kitchen essentials to lovely little touches that make it feel like a home from home. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We enjoyed two beautiful walks during our stay – one from Dalegarth to St Catherine’s Church, and another to Devoke Water and the atmospheric stone circle on Wonder Hill. The scenery is stunning, and it felt like we had the landscape all to ourselves. Rose Cottage was the perfect base to return to – peaceful, comfortable, and full of character. Highly recommended for a relaxing break in one of the Lake District’s quieter, most beautiful valleys.

This is a great spot and we loved our stay. We did some amazing and varied hikes, explored the area and it was good to come back to the cottage to relax. We had not realised the significance of the railway that weekend and had so much fun watching the trains.

Lovely host and lovely accommodation. Spacious and perfect home base for exploring the lakes. Johnathon couldn’t have been more welcoming. Highly recommend!
