"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

Beautiful place to relax in Workum

This lovely apartment, located on the first floor, has beautiful views over the countryside, is right on the water and offers plenty of privacy. Through the front door, you enter a spacious hall where you walk up the stairs and enter the apartment. Through the hallway, you reach the bedroom with a comfortable double box spring bed. Opposite the bedroom is the toilet with the spacious bathroom next to it. At the end of the hallway is the spacious cozy living room with kitchen and also two sleeping places.

Tiny house Bij de borg

At the top of the Netherlands, near the Wadden Coast, you will find this sustainable and energy-neutral tiny house. The cottage is located at the back of our property and is surrounded by a natural garden. It has wide views and offers a lot of privacy. The tiny house is decorated with love and in detail. It is completely made of wood and has a surface area of 30m². The cottage is fully equipped, everything you need is available. Enjoy the scenery and the skies, the tranquility and the space!

Fully furnished apartment for up to 6 people (4 adults and 2 children) on Ameland. Located on the outskirts of the village of Buren. With fenced garden and terrace. Village, beach and Wadden Sea within walking distance. Good strong WiFi available. Pets are not allowed. Bed linen provided, bring your own towels. If you are staying longer than 1 week and traveling with more than 2 people, you can ask for a weekly/offer price. Minimum 2 nights. Children up to 2 years old are free.

Apartment Aloha is located on the outskirts of the village of Buren overlooking the meadows, the dunes and the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea is 5 minutes by bike, the beach and the North Sea 10 minutes. The cozy 4-person vacation home is located in the front house of our farmhouse. The building is built in traditional Ameland farmhouse style and spacious. Also well suited for children, the shared garden has a playground. Booking via Airbnb is possible up to 3 months in advance.

Within walking distance of the center of Bolsward, on the Workumertrekvaart, the original Frisian Eleven Cities Route, is our rural farm. In this rural and water-rich environment, we offer you a spacious room, which is equipped with a large double bed, (2x0.90), TV/seating area and a completely new bathroom with Jacuzzi. Extra sleeping accommodation is possible. We have recently created this new space in our former cowshed, which is adjacent to our private home.

Come and enjoy my Tiny cottage "Dit Kleine Eiland". 16m2 pure coziness, quietly located on the outskirts of the city center of Nes. 20 min walk and you are at the harbor, and therefore the Wad (oyster picking!). Come, together or alone, and enjoy that beach walk. Enjoy the evening sun with a cold glass of wine on your own terrace or walk (2 min.) into the village for the culinary delights that Nes has to offer.

Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Waking up overlooking the dining room of a herd of horses living in freedom, 2 pigs making their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no WiFi and no TV. There is a large table to play games together and a lovely sofa to drink a glass of wine together. Make beautiful memories together! Possibly tandem, boat and beautiful animal experiences to book!

In the middle of nature; De Ooievaar + Hot tub (optional)

Next to our small natural campsite (only open during the summer holidays) is a beautiful holiday home surrounded by nature. Jurjen has made the cottage all by himself and made sure that you can completely relax. The kitchen is a real “Oldtimer” but also with oven. The wood-fired Hottub can be rented separately for €90,- for a weekend and €120,- for a midweek/week.
