This is a renovated Kyomachi house near Gojo-zaka. A 100-year-old Kyomachi house has been transformed into a guest house where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old days. It is a luxurious natural material renovation that uses diatomaceous earth with deodorizing and humidity regulating effects, and unpolluted materials such as hinoki cypress and cedar, with attention to detail in the finish. The whole ceiling is covered with cypress, and the pillars, frames, and baseboards are also made of cypress, creating a space filled with the comfort of real natural materials and the scent of cypress. It is located in the Kiyomizu-dera Temple area, about 6 minutes on foot from Exit 4 of Kiyomizu-Gojō Station on the Keihan Line, near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most famous tourist destinations. The bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, produced in a kiln in Shiga Prefecture. The far infrared effect warms the body to the core and makes it difficult for the bath to cool down. We opened this guest house in October, 2017. It is the middle of downtown in Kyoto. It is 5 minutes walk from Kawaramachi station(Hankyu line). From Shijo station, it is 10 minutes walk. From Shijo station to Kyoto station is 4 minutes by subway. Our guest house is next to Shin-kyogoku dori, there are many restaurants, souvenir shops, convenient stores, fashion items, 100yen stores.... It is easy to access to Nishiki-ichiba(we called the kitchen of Kyoto, market), Teramachi dori, Gion on foot.
