The Retreat

The retreat is a self -contained little chalet in the Courtyard of Hillside farm. Small play area on site,salon. Formerly known as the "shifting house" it was first built in 1898-1899 to accommodate munitions workers changing into the special clothing that they wore when working on magazines. The cottage provides an ideal escape from everyday life and has direct access to the water.

Glamping at its best. A beautifully crafted shepherds' hut set in its own picket fenced garden. Perfectly situated within a few minutes of the beach and forest. Facilities include a fridge, microwave hob, barbeque and cosy log burner. A fully fitted shower room and a choice of double bed settee or bunks. There are riding schools and hacking centres close by. Barton on Sea golf course is a short walk away.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot located within the New Forest, close to Lymington town. We have 2 huts sat in a two and a half acre private site with river frontage conveniently located behind a fantastic restaurant/pub. Check in is from 3pm tomorrow!
