There are great hiking possibilities in summer and winter. From the cabin there are nice views and good sun conditions. The area offers great cross-country trails where you don't have to wait in line in winter. In summer you will find great hiking trails right outside the cabin, and fishing opportunities nearby. Here, free-range sheep roam from May to September, and with a little luck you can also see moose. From the cabin, there are paths to Høgkampen and Spåtind, and there is the option of dog sledding during winter. The surrounding lakes and rivers offer good fishing spots and there is also the possibility of horseback riding on Spåtind.

Det høyeste fjellet er Spåtind, 1414 moh. Merkede sommerstier fra hytta, oppkjørte skiløyper 7-800 meter fra hytta på vinteren. Matbutikk - avstand 11 km.
