The stay felt homely and the host was very responsive. Mr. Kailash, the caretaker of the property, was also helpful in guiding us to reach the location as we arrived quite late in the night and the road towards the end was steep and narrow.

Firstly, the property has simply the best view of Bhimtal Lake. It's a beautiful place where you can spend time with your loved ones. The rooms also are facing the lake . The host is very helpful and friendly. It felt like home. As I am a local here I visit different properties but the Pencil House is one of the best property that I have been to in Bhimtal. Definately would recommend people to experience the beauty of this property but would also request the visitors to keep the place clean. Thank you Chitra Ji for the lovely stay ❤️

This was one of our best AirBnB experiences! The location is perfect with the lake right in front of the cottage. The house itself is very cosy and tastefully done up. They have a microwave and fridge so you can be fairly independent as well. The area is comfortable for a family or close friends traveling together. Kumkum Ma'am and Hari Sir are absolutely the best hosts. They are very warm and caring and go out of their way to help you. They have the most interesting stories that keep you entertained. We had a personal emergency and Hari Sir ensured we got all the help we could get. He spoke to his family and with his vast local network, we were able to solve the problem very easily. We were so grateful for his help and guidance. The caretaker Nandanji and his family are very helpful and take care of every need. The food he makes is very delicious and you can ask him to make as per your tastes and preferences. We traveled with a toddler and a dog and all of us had a wonderful time. We can safely say that we will be staying with them every time we head for a vacation in that area!

The scenery is so picturesque that it feels like you’ve stepped into a postcard! One of the standout aspects of our stay was the food. The chef at Da Alohas is a culinary genius! Each meal was a delight, showcasing a menu that speaks for itself. We savored every bite, from local delicacies to international favorites, all prepared with such care and attention to detail. If you're looking for a getaway that combines relaxation with adventure, I highly recommend visiting Da Alohas at least once.

It has been an absolute pleasure to stay at The Quite Place. The name says it all, and pictures don’t do full justice as it’s much more beautiful than the pictures. We had an amazing and peaceful stay. It never felt that we were away from home. Everyone was extremely helpful. The food was amazing and service was top notch. Will definitely visit the Quite place again. Kudos to Chetan, Ankush and team for being such amazing and gracious hosts.

Harsh bhaiyya is an excellent host! He is well spoken, kind-hearted and always ready to help! The homestay is just 10 minutes downhill of the snow view point! And it gives the most beautiful view of the Nainital lake and the mountains. Evening sunset view of the Nainital is a must and can't be missed from this beautiful homestay! Harsh bhaiyya is very helpful and treats you like your family. He came to pick us up from the city and even helped drop us and our luggage off on request! The food at the homestay is very tasty and feels just like home! Rooms are very spacious, with warm blankets, and cosy places available outside the homestay for sitting and enjoying the nature and scenic views! All in all, an excellent host and a beautiful homestay! Looking forward to visiting again soon :))

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The people were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. Food was freshly prepared. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Those who love nature and want some quiet time, should definitely visit.

From the moment I arrived, the care taker made me feel incredibly welcome and ensured that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The location is a bit tricky as the 1KM stretch near the property is rough and narrow but as soon as you arrive in the property, you wll go crazy and it will All be worth it. What truly sets this Airbnb apart is the attention to detail and the hosts' commitment to providing an exceptional experience. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, offering great recommendations and being available for any questions.

The best thing about the stay was the view from the property. It’s a very thoughtfully designed place and offers a panoramic view. The host, Mukul, was really helpful and staff very friendly. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

I went with my son for a spiritual and health break and this place is exactly what I wanted - surrounded with mountain and greenery this place provided a tranquil and serene environment. Ravinder Singh is a very good host taking care of the guests and Deewan has been a phenomenal help in getting what you need. We did not struggle a bit for any groceries or food or sight-seeing and enjoyed every moment of our 20 days stay. Ravinder ji has gone beyond his call of duty to port my laptop to me which I had left behind while leaving. All in all this was a memorable trip for us.

The ambience is warm and cozy enough to accommodate the cold in December. Pretty Aesthetic as it looks in the images. The caretaker is very helpful and humble. The heaters could have been a little better otherwise the overall experience from bonfire facilities to hygiene in the bathroom was pretty good.

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . We will surely visit again. Thank you Mr. Sanjeev

This is a great place to stay with your family. The location is great, the ambience was quite superb, the views from the windows were amazing - all together it was a great stay. The care takers Bhagwan Das and his wife were very much cooperative and we got a complete homely feel.

We were a group of friends and family visited this place. The view of snowcapped mountains from this beautiful property blown us away. The place is also beautifully done. staring from the furniture, light shades, the books in the shelf all speaks the taste of the owner. lastly the stuffs headed by Mr Negi was extremely helpful. They cook great tasty food whatever you order. They also obliged us to lit the fireplace which is an unique experience to us. Except the entrance which is little stiff climb of 100 meters rest all are good to this place. I wish to come back again sometime later.

Peaceful and well maintained place to stay with friends and family. Access to property is little difficult if you have toddlers and senior citizens. Actual place matches with photos and description. View and kitchen food is amazing. Good hospitality from host and the local caretaker/cook Madan..

Good well kept apartment , the caretaker was very responsive and polite and the view was excellent. Had the whole place to ourselves , a beautiful view of the valley. Great for families and solo travellers alike. Definitely worth a visit.
