Two miles to Quinnipiac and Sleeping Giant State Park, a short drive or bus ride to downtown New Haven. I DO NOT RENT TO SMOKERS - it is not just no smoking - it is NO SMOKERS.
“I had a great stay with Lauren the night before a residency interview at Yale NewHaven Health (about a 20 minute drive from her home.) She greeted me at the door when I arrived in the evening time, and we shared some great conversation. The room itself was very spacious, and I slept comfortably. The bathroom was sparkling clean. I also appreciated the tea in the morning. The neighborhood seemed very safe and there were plenty of spots for street parking. I would undoubtedly stay with Lauren again next time I’m in the area!”

“Great stay and wonderful hostess! I frequently book at Amy's when I am in the Wallingford area. The room is spacious and welcoming. Love having my own bathroom and refrigerator. Highly recommend!”

“I stayed at Julia's for five weeks and it was a home away from home. Julia is an exemplary host, who really meant it when she said, "Make yourself at home." I strongly recommend her place to anyone looking for somewhere for an extended stay in New Haven. Her house is within easy reach of Downtown, even if you don't have a car: buses run fairly regularly from outside her house or a ten-minute walk away at the top of the street. Her kitchen is really well-equipped, and completely at your disposal, so catering for yourself is totally feasible (key tip: the nearest supermarkets are just a single bus ride away, either Elm City Market in Downtown or the Stop & Shop off Whalley Avenue (for the more budget option)). I really appreciated how Julia encouraged me to make full use of the place: whether cooking in the kitchen, working at the dining room table, reading or watching tv in the living room, or using the downstairs bathroom. The room I stayed in is at the back of the house, overlooking the yard, and is nice and quiet; virtually no traffic noise and perfectly private.”
