Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

With amazing views of the Yorkshire Dales this is a perfect retreat. We are a quiet community here surrounded by nature. A big comfy bed and candles enables you to relax with your loved one. Toilet, shower, kitchen area, settee and dining set. There is a balcony to sit outside with Hot tub. Toast, eggs, tea and coffee facilities are provided. A network of paths go through our working farm with river and forest and higher land to explore together. Perfect for walking and bird watching.

Beautiful 2 bed Lodge with woodland + stream view

The Hide Lodge is a stylish space, designed with relaxing and retreating in mind. It is cosy and warm with underfloor heating. The open plan lounge and living area has full width bi-fold doors, which allows the space to be fully opened up to feel like part of the woodland beyond. The main bedroom boasts sliding french doors, also overlooking the woodland and stream, with a bath placed to enjoy this view. There is a private terrace and patio area to enjoy al-fresco dining or star-gazing.

The Annex in Belford tiny place with a big heart

The Annex is a 260yr old listed building originally a tiny hay barn, recently renovated to a high standard that provides our guests with a comfortable stay with light breakfast included and is perfect for that well deserved break. Please note this is adults only. Because of size of Annex. WE CANT ACCEPT LARGE DOGS. unfortunately there isn’t enough room. But we love seeing all the different dogs who come on their holidays happily enjoying themselves in the very safe fenced courtyard.

The hut is set in the middle of a family farm, forget about your busy lives and sit back and relax in this peaceful location ideal for a romantic retreat, with views up the Lorton valley ,cozy up into front of the wood burning stove and plan your adventure for the next day. The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
