We had a lovely stay here. Beautiful and peaceful rural outlook but close to shops. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. Also very good value for money compared with nearby places.

Great location and great for families. Jane is very helpful and responsive. Being pet friendly is a bonus!

Gena’s place is retro right through to the last detail, like stepping back in time. it has amazing views over the port and out to sea, from high up on the hill. Set on 2 different levels , up the spiral staircase to a seperate living area and bedroom. It is very clean and has everything you need. Gena is a very responsive host and was available if we had any queries. We enjoyed our stay over the Womad long weekend. Close to the surf highway and to town.

Tyler and Zoe really went above and beyond an air bnb hosts duties when it came to our stay. My 80yr old elderly mum checked in initially and was at the airbnb for a couple nights before other guests arrived. My mum had issues using her mobile and was unable to contact family in Australia or in NZ for help. But she was able to get a hold of Tyler who without hesitation went to the house to assist a very distressed elderly women. He offered to help organise food or anything that my mum needed and was very generous with his time and help. Shout out to the person boarding in the studio downstairs of the house who was so helpful in helping mum when she needed to go to hospital. The hospitality received from these hosts is truly remarkable and our family will be forever grateful for all the support for my mum. Thank you again x We will definitely rebook next time we are in the area, would highly recommend this stay.

Jennie welcomed us in person to her home, we arrived late but she was happy to wait for us. Jennie’s a very ‘warming’ host, communicates well, with an ‘above & beyond’ attitude without being intrusive, her home is clean, well presented & immaculate in every detail, but very homely (it’s like staying in a top line hotel, but homely). it is located in a peaceful neighbourhood VERY close to the city & Pukekura Park. but the peace & quiet is noticable & much appreciated. a lovely home & place to stay with an equally lovely host, thanks Jennie. we can’t say enough about this BnB & happily recommend Jennie’s home to anyone looking to stay in New Plymouth. we are from Te Puke & wouldn’t hesitate to book Jennie’s home again if we are back down this way in the future.

Beautiful house, easy to access and friendly, flexible host

It was a wow moment when I first opened the door. The home looked and felt even better than the photos that initially attracted me to the home - a real oasis both inside and outside. Inside I had all the I needed to very comfortably stay and relax for the week. Eating and lounging outside was in the front of the house, catching the last of the day’s sun. It was private, comfortable, and surrounded by lush tropical planting. Staying in this home added to my very happy holiday. Alexi was helpful from the beginning - answering questions I had prior to booking and while I was there.

Loved our stay at Sue’s place. It is very spacious and had everything we needed. We especially loved the living area where we stayed most of the time watching movies. Sue provided breakfast food which was a pleasant surprise and we greatly appreciated that. Definitely recommended!

We loved it and were sad to leave. Even though they lived on ground floor, we had a very private space. Friendly hosts. Nga mihi korua xx

My second time staying which should tell you everything you need to know.

OH WOW!! We really hope to be back! Lois’s place exceeded our expectations! So beautiful and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook elaborate meals and have big breakfasts! She even had homemade cookies and a bowl of fruit waiting for us on arrival, plenty of coffee and a well-tended garden!! The views!!! Heated blankets and washer and dryer if needed. So perfect! Easy walk to the grocery store and Serial Griller burgers!

A great place for attending an event at the Bowl of Brooklands, like WOMAD. Lesley gave us a great tip on how to bike into town avoiding roads. Also loved seeing a pūkeko strolling along the deck outside our unit.

We loved our time here. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt at home. We travelled with 2 children; they enjoyed walking around the property and made best friends with Ricky, the dog. Lovely cottage, peaceful location and great hosts. Highly recommend this cottage.

Rachel’s place was lovely. Spotlessly clean with plenty of towels and a well-equipped kitchen. Loved the espresso maker and the coffee provided, as well as the selection of tea. It was really quick and easy to get down to the coastal path and bike or walk into town or the other way. Highly recommended.

Jennifer was a wonderful host. She made us feel at home. She was helpful in providing recommendations and also happily agreed to drive us to the car hire place. Loved her place and the surroundings

Wonderful place close to town centre. Walking distance to most places. Cosy, clean and everything you could want. Great host too!

We had a lovely stay. The space was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed and more. Martin was very welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We are travelling to NP multiple times a year and I wished, we would have discovered July’s place earlier. For sure our “home away from home” whenever we are in town from now onwards. Excellent location oy a few metres from town centre, large supermarket 200m away, close to the water front. Spotless clean appartment, well thought of amenities, full size kitchen, fast wifi and satellite TV. July has been a great host and super easy to communicate with prior arrival. What else to say…we will be back and can highly recommend July’s place for anyone looking for a “gem” in New Plymouth.

The room was just as beautiful and lovely as in the photos. It was well-equipped with cutlery and amenities, making for a very comfortable stay!
