If you are looking for a larger shopping center, Gorredijk (known for Rinsma modeplein) Sportstad/Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also easy to drive to.

This unique wooden design lodge (182m2) is located on a forest plot of 2,400m2 on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold national park. Sustainable built and gas-free! You have a beautiful view from the house. The lodge is fully equipped and very suitable for 2 families, groups of friends and business meetings and retreats. Field house Earth on the farm

This cozy and comfortable field cottage (Earth) is located at the back of the yard of our farmhouse together with two other cottages (Air + Fire) and a separate Sanitary building (Water). The cottage is fully insulated and equipped with good heating for the colder days of the year. A nicely made bed (140x200) and towels and kitchen linens are ready for you upon arrival. A quiet place with a beautiful view and sweet animals. Feel more than welcome. Minimum age is 21 years.

Guesthouse "De Kraanvogel"

Guesthouse "De Cranvogel" The cozy log cabin can be found in the yard of a farmhouse and has its own driveway. Sheltered under a wooden wall, look out towards the Fochtelooërveen and in the beautifully maintained garden. During the summer, the view may be obstructed by the growth of corn or any other crop. The cabin contains a bedroom, bath and living room and the whole can be heated with a wood stove. You can make your own cup of coffee or tea in the log cabin.

Tucked away in the greenery is the log cabin. A place with lots of privacy at the edge of the forest and with a nice view. In the log cabin you will find a double bed, a kitchen with fridge and hob, a sitting area, a dining area and a wardrobe. With good weather you can sit on the terrace of the cabin. The shower, toilet and sink are located in a separate sanitary unit about 25 meters from the log cabin and are only used by the guests of the log cabin.

This comfortable holiday home is located directly on the Drents-Friese Wold. The house is in a park with no facilities/gate or rules. The houses in the park are both permanently inhabited and rented out for vacation. You can walk, cycle and mountain bike to your heart's content in the area. Cities such as Assen, Leeuwarden and Groningen are easy to reach. The house is fully and stylishly furnished and invites you to relax with a book by the fireplace.

Yurt on the edge of the Hooylanden

Hidden behind a farm is this atmospheric yurt, accessible via a romantic path through the native herb field. You enjoy peace, views over meadows and the sound of frogs – you might even hear the trumpeting of cranes on their way to the nearby Fochtelooerveen. The yurt is warmly furnished with a double bed, sitting area and simple kitchen. You have your own sanitary facilities with shower. A unique place to relax on the edge of the Hooylanden.
