Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Apartment in an old school

Apartment at the sheltered end of the former village school. The apartment has a kitchen, an open bedroom and a bathroom. Sleeps four. Double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment has a teacher's platform and outdoor stairs, so it is not accessible. The outdoor sauna is heated for an additional fee. The apartment is located in a quiet area, 8 km from the city center. The rest of the building is for the host's own use. There is room in the yard to stay and, for example, barbecue. Also suitable for families with children.

Villa on Lake Saimaa, private beach.

Winter-inhabitable villa on the shores of Lake Saimaa, accommodation for 8 people. No neighbors nearby. The property has a sandy beach, wood-fired sauna, lean-to, patio on the beach, well-equipped kitchen, Weber gas grill, 2 toilets, shower, air heat pump, 2 SUP boards, rowboat, trampoline, children's books and games. Close to a frisbee golf course. Here you will experience magnificent sunsets and you may spot the Saimaa ringed seal. Perfect destination for those who appreciate nature, tranquility and comfort, suitable for families with children.

Modern beach studio with a view near the city center

Enjoy the cottage atmosphere in a modern apartment building - the lake is so close that the balcony has the sound of waves. This renovated and bright home is located on an island on the shores of the clear-water Lake Saimaa, approximately 2 km from the town centre. It’s easy to get here by car, by bus or on foot – you can also get from the beach to the market square in half an hour on a SUP board. The balcony shines in the evening sun, so the temperature in the apartment is pleasant even in the heat.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa Rautjärvi

This wonderful lakeside log cabin is located 25 km north from Mikkeli. The cabin, finished in 2014, invites you to relax and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Finnish nature. It's cosy and decorated with high-class natural materials and comfortable furnishings and is fully equipped with a modern, compact open plan kitchen, two bedrooms, each with 160 cm x 200 cm beds, loft room with a king size bed, an inviting living room and dining area, bathroom, sauna, separate toilet and a terrace.

Villa Myllymäki

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.

A lovely little detached house with lake views

Villa Pihlaja is a detached house representing traditional Finnish architecture, located in a quiet lake landscape in the urban area of Savonlinna. There is a child-friendly beach near the house and a rowboat in front of the house, where you can go fishing, row to the Sulosaari pancake café or admire Olavinlinna. The center is 6 km by car, the big market is 2 km. Cute pet rabbits can be found in the backyard. Bring your own pets to stay. There is no sauna on site.

Mini-house on the shore of Lake Saimaa

You will always remember the rugged landscape of this destination. The property is located near Kolovesi National Park on the shores of Saimaa Pyyvesi. The property has stunning views, but it is only about 300 meters from the paved country road. There are neighbors on the property. The mini-house was completed in 2025 and the sauna in the adjacent building dates back to 2024. The accommodation is ideal for those interested in hiking, cycling, fishing and paddling.

Romantic shelter with a great view

A cozy cottage between pines and the lake just in 2 steps from Saimaa. It is quite small inside (30 square meters) with a big open terrace and a green lawn in front of it. There are a Loft bed for 2 people with a view, a small kitchen, fireplace, sauna on woods inside the cabin. It is great to start your day from early swimming and yoga/breakfast at the terrace listening to birds songs and finish your day with a glass of wine taking pictures of a stunning sunset.
