Holiday rentals with a kayak in Otis

This was our second stay at the Riverside Blues House and once again Liza did not disappoint! This is a great location, great view and the home is pristine and beautifully decorated. My son lives nearby and when we have a large group visiting the Riverside Blues House is our home away from home. Can't wait to stay there in the warm weather and take advantage of the Ferry!! We were in the area to meet our son's fiance's extended family. Nathania's home was perfect! We had 7 adults and 5 little boys ages 9, 7, 5, 2, and 2 months. There was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the time together. The hot tub, kayaks, and foosball table were especially popular! We were able to host a family dinner with guests which was wonderful. Everything we needed for preparation was readily available. Lots of beautiful parks, playgrounds, hiking areas. Plenty to keep everyone entertained! Nathania was extremely kind, gracious, and responsive to questions. We had absolutely zero issues. So grateful for a wonderful vacation. Thank you for sharing your idyllic home with us. We hope to visit again!!!

A beautiful home and the views were breathtaking on the lake. Although, it was frozen. All the amenities we needed and more. Close to skiing and tubing. Owner Sara was very attentive to respond quickly. We just wanted a getaway place for a family weekend. The road was narrow and very icy. Would go back but not in the winter. Summer and the Fall I think would be best. Lots more things to do in the nicer weather months. Thank you Sara for your hospitality.

This property was fantastic. The lake is beautiful, the kayaks and canoe offered by Vincent were in great condition and easy to use to explore the lake. And the house is well decorated, comfortable, and fits a large group easily. I would highly recommend a stay. Vincent is a great communicator and made the whole process easy — zero hassle whatsoever along the way.

Katherine’s Creekside Cottage was a perfect peaceful getaway and I wish we could have stayed longer ! Felt at home the minute we walked through the door .. living room with electric fireplace, beautiful newly renovated kitchen with everything you need, sparkling clean bathrooms with lovely towels and the prettiest bedrooms. There are so many special touches everywhere . The weather wasn’t perfect, but we still spent hours just relaxing on the screened in porch, You won’t want to leave it! Took advantage of Katherine’s recommendations for dinner (she has quite a nice list but we choose Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties … just great!) and spent the day in nearby Woodstock, amazing little town. We had no issues whatsoever and almost any question you have can be addressed in the Home Manual she has available. Even so, she was super quick to answer a question I had and definitely wanted to make sure we were comfortable . Don’t hesitate to book this little gem!

Such a beautiful home! Great location, very convenient. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay, so relaxing. Will definitely love to stay here again this summer.

What we needed was really just a "heads in the bed" type situation as we had plans that were to keep us away from the house most of the day but really the place was very homey and lovely to come back to. Everything was just as described. The hosts were flexible and offered early check-in/late check-out unprompted which was nice to have some time to relax the day we checked out. Overall it was a great stay!

I can’t say enough positive things about Daniel’s place. The setting was beautiful and serene; It was so quiet and peaceful we almost felt like it was our own private lake! The house was lovely and so tastefully and uniquely decorated. All the windows gave a constant view of the lake. There are many quaint towns to explore within a 30 minute drive, but you may want to spend most of your time enjoying the lake and kayak. We hope to return in the summer.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything and made us feel right at home. We could not have been more pleased and would highly recommend this property.

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

Such a cozy space!!! My small family really did enjoy our peaceful stay. I would definitely book again when in the area. I felt such peace and serenity sitting under the stars, in front of the crackling campfire. It was me and the hubby with 2 of our girls ages 10 and 16. They loved the hot tub and s’mores:). I visited this beautiful place for valentines weekend and it was absolutely amazing, nice and clean kitchen equipped with all you need if you want to cook and the rooms were nice and cozy. Also this is a lake house so you have a beautiful view and you can enjoy outside too. We had a great time. I would only suggest to get the drive way clean from the ice/snow during winter time it was a little bit dangerous walking to our cars.

Private cottage, perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Cameron was a very thoughtful and responsive host. Instructions were clear and covered everything, even suggestions for before arrival (nearest grocery store etc). We really liked the character of the home and interior decor. We made good use of the kitchen, as well as the fireplace which really is perfect on cold nights. (The fireplace logs had even been set up in advance of our arrival, with ample instructions, another much appreciated gesture. Fwiw I too was curious about the story of Martha and Howard.) Both downstairs couch and the upstairs loft bed were very comfortable. The overall quiet of the surrounding area made for some very restful sleep.

What can I say except WOW! Incredible property, cabin and serene setting all packed in one Airbnb! Katrina was the perfect host answering any questions we had leading up to and during our stay. The cabin was spotless, private and exactly what we were looking for! Katrina's local recommendations were great and we also found 2 places that I thought to mention: Gracie's Luncheonette for breakfast (gotta try the hash browns!) and Red's Seafood (if you're looking for some incredible GF options). Would stay here again in a second! We were able to get to multiple hikes in, easy and moderate, within 30-45 minute drives. I highly recommend Katrina's Airbnb for a weekend getaway!

Tobye’s place was the perfect location for our Thanksgiving trip. Had all the amenities as listed and is a very responsive host. Was flexible to add a day as well and we so appreciated that! Kids loved the Xbox and we loved the coffee and peaceful view.

This was our 2nd time staying at Brian's place, the home is perfect for a larger group and has so many toys for the kids, they LOVED it! Everything is very clean, and the kitchen has all the pots/pans needed for cooking. In Feb there was so much snow we got to go sledding in the front yard, and a few from our group made the trip to Stratton for the day. We love going to Wilmington for coffee/lunch. Planning to be back again in 2026!

Carrie was very attentive and concerned about giving me the best instructions to make me feel at home. I didn't struggle to check-in and get settled. What ever question or concern I had she would answer me quickly and kindly. I recommend this beautiful place that will make you feel welcome and at home. A few of us stayed at Mariana's for a girl's weekend to go to local events- and had a wonderful stay! The apartment was really aesthetic and perfect for a girl's trip, and we loved cooking in the kitchen as she had every appliance we needed, and loved the fireplace. Everything was cozy, well described, and had everything we could have needed! Mariana was friendly and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We'd recommend this for anyone wanting a cozy getaway!

We booked this trip last minute during our daughter’s spring break. It was a little under 2 hours from NYC and felt like a world away. The hosts were always available and helpful with everything down to local suggestions. Every detail of the cabin is thoughtfully laid out and provided. We slept four comfortably, but mostly spent our time outside. The property alone offers many trails to explore and made us feel entirely off the grid. The porch around the cabin had locks which would be great for young kids or pets. The surrounding towns were cute and restaurants were excellent. Everything including a supermarket seems to be 10 minutes or under, but we mainly liked staying on the property. We can’t wait to come back in warmer months to go tubing!

A charming cabin perfect for a weekend away. Our group opted mostly to stay in instead of explore local areas and it was the perfect size with just enough to do! The small explorations we did have for local coffee and produce were wonderful. A couple issues with some household appliances but the host was responsive and considerate to resolve them. Loved the doc, kayaks, and hot tub as well as smaller objects to use for entertainment, such as a guitar, fireplace, and games. Hope to come back next year!
