Tiny house holiday rentals in Ottawa River

Le chalet sur le lac est idyllique. Belle vue, emplacement idéal sur le lac en hauteur. Le chemin pour s’y rendre en hiver est un peu sportif mais ça se fait bien, voyagez léger ! Le chalet est bien équipé, mais amenez vos oreillers pour plus de confort. Les matelas sont un peu dur mais en camping comme ça on doit s’y attendre. Super bien équipé pour cuisiner et surtout très confortable. On recommande !

Our group of 8 friends spent an amazing long weekend at Friendly Fires and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The place is quirky and cute in all the right ways… We experienced all 4 seasons in 3 days (19° and sunshine followed by freezing rain and snow), but the property has so many different areas to hang out and activities for entertainment and relaxing that we were never on top of each other or bored. We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait to go back!

Bruce was an excellent host! He gave great recommendations and clear instructions. The driving directions were so good we were able to find the place in the dark lol. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable, had everything we needed. The view in the morning was quite nice. The beds were warm and comfortable and the whole place was clean with more than enough towels and blankets. The only thing I'd note is that it's not entirely a true ski in/out experience. We were expecting to be able to ski right from the cabin door onto the hill (as per other ski in/out places we've rented) but if you did that, you'd end up skiing into a building (don't do that, haha) We had to carry our skis past a row of cabins and sheds to get to the hill where we were able to get on. I'd describe it as more of a slope-side cabin than ski in/out. It's not a big deal, still very convenient, just a bit different than described. Overall, I'd give it a 10/10, would recommend!

We escaped for a weekend away with our dogs and were thrilled by the set up at the Escape Pod. We had everything we needed, plus some, for an enjoyable time away to rest and recharge in nature. It was quiet, beautiful, and incredibly peaceful. We barely even saw anyone going by during the time we were there. The hosts were fantastic and quick to respond. We will likely be back as we loved it so much!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Frank et Nancy. Le chalet était très propre et bien décoré. Nous avons particulièrement aimé le foyer au bois. La table de pique-nique à l'extérieur est un endroit parfait pour prendre l'apéro et profiter des rayons de soleil.

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

Cet endroit est vraiment à couper le soufle. Le cadre est splendide, nous nous sommes senti hors du temps, c'est relaxant. Nous avons échangés quelques mots avec la personne de l'accueil qui était très chaleureuse et généreuse. Les logements sont tout autant sublimes les uns que les autres. L'accès à la forêt est un petit plus très agréable car la plage est splendide. Cerise sur le gâteau, les logements sont respectueux de l'environnement. Je recommande.

Everything about this stay was so beautiful and perfect. We visited during October and all the fall colours were on full display, so gorgeous. Absolutely zero complaints, the bed was comfy, the incinerator toilet was easy to figure out, the shower was warm, Tammy was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend staying here, so much to do in the surrounding areas as well.

**** HIDDEN GEM**** So ill start with the fact that I stayed here with my father last summer for 4 nights and we Loved it, so we re booked it , and this time was AMAZING as well, Nice quiet and private place that has been fully renovated , Also the host was very accomidating with a late check out! I would choose this place again for sure as the price is just AMAZING To... 5.5/5 !!! Thanks and hope to stay again sometime !!

Biljana's place is an Art Paradise. it transports you to another world. on my way to the Airbnb, I asked our host so many questions about local attractions/things to do, but once I entered the loft I didn't need any of that. I just spent my whole stay at the property to truly experience each piece of art there. I brought my 4 year old here as a surprise during his march break and he loved it ❤️. Biljana made our stay even more special by adding personal touches to his bedding and has enough to keep an active toddler completely engaged and screen free for the duration of the stay. Bonus: This was his first time interacting with a children's book illustrator. Already planning my next visit here. Cant wait to be back :)

Nous avons adoré ce chalet situé dans un lieu calme, paisible, beau. Le logement était très bien équipé (nous avons même trouvé un adaptateur alors que nous n'avions pas pris le nôtre). Le parking devant le chalet n'est pas accessible sans voiture adaptée à cette période de l'année, comme nous l'a indiqué l'hôte, nous nous sommes garés facilement sur la route très proche du logement.

A hidden paradise. Just amazing! The cabin is a dream. It even looks so much nicer inside then on the pictures. Very clean and comfy. And outside- oh we just loved the private trails on their property, the dogs had the time of their life. This was just a perfect long weekend and we will be back in the summer for sure!!! Absolutely beautiful place to stay! It was peaceful, cozy and exactly what we needed for a weekend. The inside was warm and inviting with the fire place already fired up upon arrival. The sauna was also already stoked and ready to go which we jumped in immediately. We did not want to leave. Very unique spot and would definitely visit again!

We were looking for a quiet fall cabin getaway and this provided us with exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was located on a fairly private section in the trees. There was a walking trail near by and access to the water and a dock. By traveling in the off season the park was pretty quiet. 😊 The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the cozy inside comforts of home as well as the great deck and wonderful forest and river view. Mike, the park manager, was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our cabin making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There was a bit of a grumpy resident camper who came over to complain as soon as we arrived because our dogs were playing and burning off some steam after being in the car for a couple hours. The dogs were both on long lines, but he claimed the dogs were loud & he was going to complain to the park manager about us. If he did we didn’t hear about it.

Great stay! The place had everything we needed and more. It was clean. Furniture and decoration was charming and well thought-out. Jamie and Brian were great hosts - very friendly, welcoming and gave us great recommendations for the area, they were also very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The area is very peaceful, the cabin is well-maintained with beautiful direct views of the lake. You can tell the hosts put a lot of effort into making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely come back whenever we need an escape from the city!

We stayed two nights and it was so peaceful. It was a perfect little get away for us and our dog. Melissa had thought of everything. It was one of the most thoughtful stays I’ve ever been to. From the books and games provided to the guide of restaurants and trails nearby to the journaling activities shes made. The sound of the river rushing by was so relaxing to sleep to. We will be back one day!

The hosts were very helpful and provided almost everything we needed for our stay. You can borrow games, activities, boots and more from the trading post. We definitely overpacked. It’s hard to find places like this that are pet friendly. We will come back again.

Our stay at the cabana was awesome. The place is beautiful and comfortable and has every need for cooking (and I mean it): BBQ, hot plate and pans, coffee maker, kettle, knives, etc. The views are breathtaking with the cabana being right on the Ottawa river, the sunsets on the kayaks are just magical. It gets really cold next to the water this time of the year but the place is equipped with 3 heaters, a fire pit and a hot tub to stay warm. Thank you Deanna for having us here your place if truly amazing and we’ll be back soon!

Choleena & Larry were sweet and welcoming as always. Beautiful place to stay if you wanna see stars and hear birds. They also worked with our schedule and were very responsive! Can’t wait for the next time I get to stay in this beautiful place. There were a lot of bugs this time than the last time I went in the summer so if you’re going in the fall, I would advise you to maybe take some bug spray :) but nothing to complain about since that was out of their control and a perk of been out in the wild!

Ashley and Kyle’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was exactly how they advertised. I booked it to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and he was he floored by how perfect the spot was. The sauna was incredible and the house itself was quietly tucked between trees. Ashley and Kyle helped me organize a charcuterie and cheesecakes to have upon arrival which was so sweet and such a nice touch. I can’t recommend them and this place enough!! 10/10, will be back :)
